2006 Verado 250 - Sucking noise and no fire on cylinder #5

- Customer was curious about the sucking noise noticed at idle.

-Replaced isolator “rubber expansion joint”✅
-Changed spark plugs✅ *due to run time*
-Performed cylinder cut out test and confirmed cylinder #5 had no spark, replaced ignition coil. ✅

Mercruiser 350 *Update* - Winterized and the following items addressed! Always appreciate customers who are proactive with maintenance!

-Thermostat housing replaced due to age and closing ports due to scale. ✅

-Water pump replaced due to age. ✅

-Consistent oil spots under engine narrowed down to dry rotted remote oil filter hoses. Replaced with new hoses. Video showing old hoses loose in crimp fittings. ✅

-Touched up front of block with parts off. ✅

Caterpillar 3126 - Leaky oil cooler / oil filter base plate gasket *see pic for old weak spot found once it was taken apart*. Repair made that much easier when boat owner provided the parts for repair. Tight space but made it happen!

- Replaced gaskets and O-Rings ✅

Routine maintenance on a Mercruiser outdrive. Gimbal replacement and bellows replacement.

Gimbal bearing removal on a mercrusier alpha 1 gen 2.

- I have always used a slide hammer puller but this gimbal bearing required more force in order to be removed. This gimbal bearing puller is worth its weight in gold!

- First item was replacing the still working but tired trim / tilt motor! ✅
- Second water pump replacement ✅
- Third thermostat replacement ✅
- Fourth compression check on all cylinders ✅
- Fifth a standard winterization ✅

- Customer was outstanding and understanding of maintenance needed! Always enjoy keeping older motors running properly! All work completed in the comfort of the customers yard.

- Also pays to have American 🇺🇸 made tools to knock the job out without issue.
