BAP Racing had a big year. Here is the run down on our racers.
Eric Pullen – Only able to make 5 races this season, he started off mid pack in results. Later in the year he moved to a 2013 CRF450R and finished 2nd and 3rd in the last races. Despite missing so many races, his performance earned him a 9th place overall finish for the series. Eric looks to carry this momentum into 2013. Watch out for the fastest sit-down rider in Texas!
Brian Perret – Started the season strong with an initial 4th place finish in a stacked race at Newton’s Ranch. He continued to place in the top 10 for 5 more races. In the final race of the season, he went down is a head on collision with several trees fracturing his kneecap, recording a DNF. However, due to his consistent performance landed him an overall 5th place for the series. We hope he heals up and is ready to go for 2013. Great job in 2012!
John Fuqua – In his rookie season in competitive racing, John struggled in his first three races finishing last and a DNF on the third race. He then moved to a KTM 250sx and down a riding class and he began to light things up. It took the first few races for him to settle into the 2-stroke power finish on the podium 4 out of 8 races, including 2 first place finishes. Despite losing points moving down a class, his performance late in the season earned him an overall 8th place finish for the series. John looks to carry this momentum in 2013 preparing him to move up a class in 2014.
Kyle Peyres – In his rookie season in competitive racing, he started off slow but quickly settled in on the fourth race with a first place finish. He continued this momentum for the remaining 6 racing finishing on the podium at each event. The points race came down to the final race, only coming up one point short of winning the entire class series in second place. Kyle had a remarkable season and was a definite dark horse in the series. Kyle looks to move up a class in 2013 to continue pushing his limits to be the best he can be. Good luck in 2013!
Maren Fuqua – In her rookie season in competitive racing, she started out strong taking second and third place in her first two races. She wasn’t able to race again until Round 7, and she did on a new bike, KTM 150xc. It was purely magical, taking first place in each of her final 3 races and beating her competition with ease. Not able to compete in enough races for the season, she finished 4th for the year. Maren looks to move up a class in 2013 where she looks to compete for the top spots yet again. Braap, Braap!
Connor Depew – Connor started out the season strong and continued through the series finishing on the podium 8 out of 9 times. Mid season he moved from a four stroke over to a 2 stroke, KX 250, and he began to light it up. Connor finished his last three races on top with 1st place finishes. Connor looks to carry this momentum as he moves up a class in 2013. Watch out there is going to be some roost flying from this young talented rider!
