Round 8 at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway featured our second HTAC versus Nissan Challenge battle and was hosted by our series sponsor OS Giken. Our fellow drivers at NC were hungry for a win and they succeeded at our expense ☠️. Consider yourselves redeemed for now, we’ll get you next time!

The CW configuration at CVR completed our tour of this track for the year and it was as expected: fun, fast, and exciting! We also had an unexpected guest: Honda Racing Corporation hailing from Santa Clarita to further test, develop, and compete in their Integra Type S placing 2nd in the Race Modified class.

In Street class David Sheetz placed 1st with a 2:04.761 lap time, with Chris Moua and Patrick Funnamark taking 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The results locked in the 2025 Street class championship for Jamie Moore!

The Street Modified class saw our veteran driver Sean Conboy take 1st place with a sub2 lap time of 1:59.644. Isabella Gonzalez took her first podium this year edging out Paul Choa for 2nd place with a 2:02.464 lap time, and Paul trailed behind Isabelle by 3 tenths for 3rd place finish.

In the Race Modified class Joey Cadavid placed 1st clenching the 2025 class championship, Ben Schmitt placed 2nd in the HRC Integra Type S with a lap time of 1:59.616, and in 3rd place we have the return of the 2023 Street Modified champion  Danny Castro turning a 2:00.162 lap time.

The Unlimited class saw a new group of competitors enter the ring, surprisingly co-driving the same single vehicle in all 3 podium positions. In 1st place we have Ger Xiong setting a new class record with a lap time of 1:52.134, in 2nd place Jean Choi turned a 1:56.532 lap time, and rounding out the podium in her first competition event we have Crystal Cadavid.

All in we saw 3 women on the podium this round and we expect to see more in the future: congratulations ladies!

For now, we say, “See you later Chuckwalla, we’ll be back in March for a double header weekend!”

Stay tuned for the recap of our final round at Buttonwillow’s classic track. The showdown for the Street Modified class championship was spicy!

The last of the new track layouts for 2025 is behind us!

Round 6 took place at Buttonwillow Raceway Park’s new layout — the Circuit. It was a first-time experience for most of our competitors, and we had a blast. All we can say is: it’s definitely staying on our schedule for years to come.

In Street Class, we saw a light turnout with a single competitor — Sergei Avedisov, who took home 1st place and set a new class record. We missed Jamie Moore this round due to his commitments to a classic formula racing series in Northern California, but we’ll see him back at the next round.

In Street Modified, we faced a rules challenge regarding the FK8 Civic and preseason clarifications. The organization has taken responsibility for the outcome — points have been adjusted for Rounds 5 & 6, and the respective class records for the protested car have been nullified. Rules updates for the platform are also expected for 2026.

That aside, Marck Tejada clocked the fastest lap in the class, taking 1st place. The class record for the Circuit went to Markus Lendermann, finishing 2nd with a 1:58.403. It was another tight battle — Daniel Kirby took 3rd with a 1:58.831, only four-tenths behind.

In Race Modified, we saw the return of Ger Xiong, last year’s Street Modified champion, debuting his new build and updated aero package. Ger put down a blistering 1:53.120 lap on 200TW tires, taking 1st in class. Joey Cadavid followed with a 1:57.170 for 2nd, maintaining the class points lead this season. Jeanhyung Choi rounded out the podium in 3rd with a 1:58.276.

Unlimited Class saw no competitors this round.

Thank you to everyone who competed, came out to support, and helped make the event a success (we’ll get a group photo next time!). And thank you to our sponsors — we know how much time and money goes into the sport and appreciate your support. We’re already seeing some cars going under the knife for heavy maintenance to finish the season strong or come back faster for 2026.

We’ll see you at the “newish” Streets of Willow for Round 7 on Nov. 1!

Round 7 at the new Streets of Willow Springs, hosted by Formula-S, is less than 2 weeks out! We’ve retired the old track records, so here’s your chance to set new class benchmarks 😈

Speed Ventures is nearly sold-out for this event, but we’ve reserved a set number of competition entries for you all. If you get wait-listed please leave a comment when registering that you’re an HTAC competitor and reach out to us. PB weather is upon us, see you soon!

HTAC is back from the summer season break and the competition is still hot! For Round 5 we turned laps around a new course layout at Buttonwillow Raceway Park Classic 25 CCW. We had 16 drivers registered for this event and it was special to have another dozen fellow competitors and friends who weren’t driving show up to support and hang out.

In Street class Jamie Moore dominated the field in his NA1 NSX with a 2:02.790 lap time, reaching a top speed of 131mph going into Grapevine. With this 1st place win he has taken the class lead. Congratulations Jamie, time to fight to stay on top!

The Street Modified competition saw a new class competitor, Marck Tejada , enter the ring, adding to the already much anticipated podium battle between Daniel Kirby , Markus Lenderman , and Ricky Hernandez ! Marck took a 1st place podium finish in his FK8 Civic Type R clocking a 1:58.622 lap time and the highest top speed of 137mph for the day. Do you think Marck can sweep Round 6-9 for a class championship?!

The Race Modified class also saw a new competitor, Kai Workman , taking the step up from Street Modified. The competition in this class was close in sessions 1 and 2 with Joey Cadavid and Kai being within tenths of each other. Joey drove a little harder in session 3 for nearly a 2 second gain taking 1st place in the class with a 2:03.133 lap time and a top speed of 128mph in his AP1 S2000. This podium finish places Joey in the lead for class points. Where are Robert .face and Ger you ask?! We’ll see them return soon, likely as unlimited competitors for a J35 vs Stroker F-series clash of titans.

Someone please poke Kevin and Brandon .jpg in the side to get them out for the next round in our unlimited class!

If you haven’t put it together, Rounds 4, 5, and 6 are back-to-back new courses for our competition series: Laguna > BPR 25CCW > Circuit. Don’t miss out on these exciting times! See you at Round 6 at the Circuit!

Our inaugural competition weekend at the holy grounds of the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca was a hit! We had 20 official competitors from all over California. We plan to be back for 2026 with hopes to draw out a larger NorCal/Bay Area crowd (we’re looking at you and your crew ).

In Street Class we had a close 1-2 competition between Jamie Moore and Marck Tejada, clocking in laps within 4 tenths of a second from each other. Jamie took the win in his NA1 NSX with a lap time of 1:41.560.

The Street Modified class was on fire with the entire podium being within 1 tenth of a second from each other! Markus Lenderman took the win in the EP3 that could, followed closely by Ricardo Hernandez and Daniel Kirby.

The Race Modified class had their work cut out for them, being marginally faster but within striking range of the Street Modified class. Robert Burch took the class win for Race Mod with a 1:38.757 lap time.

The Unlimited class saw a new competitor to the series who happened to take first place: welcome Tiu Ching Kwan! The unlimited class seemed to be off pace this weekend; send some good vibes their way as we head into race season in a few weeks!
