🙏 **Still Here, Still Helping** 🙏

Hey everyone, just checking in! We know it’s been quiet on our page lately, but don’t worry we’re still here, still serving, and still ready to help. 💛

This past week has been a time of stepping back to focus on serving where we’re needed most. We’ve been working in an urgent area within our church, supporting those who needed extra hands and hearts. Whether it’s on the roadside or within our faith community, our mission is always about helping others in whatever way we can.

For the rest of this week, we’ll be taking some time to recharge and grow spiritually as we head to a Men’s Church Conference. Taking time for personal and spiritual growth allows us to better serve our community when we return.

We’ll be back to our regular programming on Monday, refreshed and ready to go! In the meantime, if you need roadside assistance, we’re still available—just give us a call! Thank you all for your support, and we’ll see you soon!

Today’s a special one—it’s my 30th birthday! 🎂 And of course, what better way to kick off a milestone birthday than with coffee? So, I stopped by By the Grace of Coffee to grab some for me and Katie.

While chatting, I casually mentioned it was my birthday—and when I got my cup, they had written "Happy Birthday" on it. 🎈💛 Such a simple thing, but it absolutely made my day!

Also known to occasionally fight Katie for her leftovers—depending on who’s in her good graces that day.

👩 Katie – Director of Angelic OperationsTitle: CFO, Office Manager, Call Wrangler, and Dream KeeperDuties: Keeping the business running smoothly, answering calls, scheduling service requests, and making sure Sheldon doesn’t bounce from pillar to post with a new idea every 30 seconds. 💙 Honoring My Father: 2 Years Later 💙

Today marks two years since my father’s passing, and while the time has moved forward, his impact on my life remains just as strong.

He was the man who taught me the value of hard work, the importance of faith, and the courage to step out and try—whether that meant starting my own business or pursuing the calling to become a pastor.

🚗 Lone Star Roadside Angels wouldn’t exist without his influence. He showed me what it means to serve others, to lend a helping hand when someone is stranded—physically or spiritually.

🙏 Every day, I carry his lessons with me. In every roadside rescue, every person we help, and every step toward my pastoral journey, I see his legacy in action.

“Keep Moving Forward”
🚗 “The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in His way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.” — Psalm 37:23-24 (ESV)

Life, much like the road, isn’t always smooth. Some days feel like a straight highway with the wind at your back, while others feel like you’re stuck with a flat tire in the middle of nowhere.

But here’s the good news—no matter the road conditions, God is guiding your steps. Even if you stumble, He is there to lift you up.

🚗 Sometimes, the road ahead looks uncertain, but when we glance in the rearview mirror, we can see all the ways God has helped us get this far. Every challenge, every detour, every unexpected turn—He was there, leading us through it.

💡 Whatever you’re facing today, keep moving forward. Trust that God has already mapped out the journey—you just have to keep driving.

🔧 Behind the Scenes: Serving On & Off the Road 🙌

When I’m not out helping Texans with jumpstarts, lockouts, or fuel deliveries, you’ll often find me right here—helping out at my church.

🛠️ Faith and service go hand in hand, whether it’s turning wrenches on the roadside or working on a project at Gospel Life Baptist Church. Both are about helping where help is needed, using the skills God has given me to make a difference.

And let’s not forget an essential part of the process—fuel. Not just for cars, but for me too. If you see a Monster can in the background, just know that’s my personal gas can keeping me running through the day. ☕😂

Beyond the tools and the roadside calls, I’m also on a journey of pastoral training, preparing to serve in even deeper ways. Whether it’s fixing a car, lending a helping hand, or sharing God’s word, I believe in showing up where I’m called.

Lone Star Roadside Angels may be my mission on the road, but serving my church is part of my mission in life.

⚡ Service Highlight: Jump Starts & Jumper Cables ⚡

Ever heard the saying "you get what you pay for"? Well, I got a real-life lesson in that today. My truck needed a jump, and I pulled out my brand new, cheap jumper cables… and guess what? They didn’t work. 🙃

So, I went back to my old trusty, thick, and expensive cables—and boom, first try, my truck was back in action!

💡 Lesson learned: When buying jumper cables, spend the extra money on quality. Cheap cables might leave you (literally) stuck in the cold.

✔️ Look for well-reviewed brands like Duralast or Energizer (yes, they make more than just batteries).
✔️ Read customer reviews before buying.
✔️ Proper jump-start procedure matters (but we’ll cover that in a future post).
