Your RV refrigerator is supposed to keep your food cold… not try to move downstairs. 😂

This customer noticed their refrigerator had shifted and something definitely wasn’t right.

Once we started looking into it, we found the problem—the bottom of the refrigerator cabinet had failed, allowing the refrigerator to literally fall through the cabinet.

With a refrigerator this large and heavy, simply pushing it back into place and adding a few screws wasn’t going to fix the underlying problem.

We removed the refrigerator, tore into the cabinet, rebuilt and reinforced the platform underneath, and then reinstalled the refrigerator where it belonged.

👉 Swipe through the photos to see where we started, what we found after removing the refrigerator, the rebuilt platform, and the finished repair.

This is a great example of why you shouldn’t ignore something in your RV that suddenly shifts, develops a gap, starts sitting crooked, or just doesn’t look like it used to. What appears to be a cosmetic issue can sometimes be a sign that something underneath has actually failed.

Sometimes RV repair means fixing the refrigerator.

Other times it means rebuilding the house underneath the refrigerator. 😂

Noticed something shifting, sagging, or just not looking right in your RV? Give us a call and let’s get it checked out before a small problem becomes a much bigger repair.

Your RV roof doesn’t usually fail overnight—it gives you warnings. The key is taking care of the sealant before it gets to this point.

The first 3 photos show what we started with. The existing roof sealant had deteriorated enough that simply cleaning the area and adding another layer wasn’t the right way to handle it. We had to remove the old sealant first, properly prep the areas, and then apply new self-leveling sealant around the roof penetrations.

And that turns a routine roof reseal into a MUCH bigger job.

This one took us almost 3 days to complete. Not necessarily because the roof was huge, but because working on an RV roof during a North Texas summer means the heat dictates how much can safely and effectively be accomplished each day. ☀️🥵

The last 4 photos show the finished product—and quite a difference!

This is exactly why we recommend staying ahead of your roof maintenance. Have your roof inspected regularly and address deteriorating sealant before it reaches the point where everything has to be stripped off and started over.

Even better? Plan your reseal for the spring or fall. Cooler temperatures make the job easier to schedule, easier to complete, and keep us from trying to cook ourselves on your roof in the middle of a Texas summer. 😂

Not sure what condition your roof sealant is in? Give us a call and let’s get it checked before a small maintenance item turns into a much larger repair.

❄️ From outdated to overpowered. ❄️

This RV came to us with an aging zoned A/C system. One rooftop unit had completely failed, and the other was struggling to keep up with the Texas heat. Rather than investing more money into outdated equipment, the customer decided it was time for a complete upgrade.

We installed two 18,000 BTU Furrion Chill Cube variable-speed air conditioners and simplified the system by putting the furnace back on its own dedicated thermostat.

The results speak for themselves:
✅ Faster, more consistent cooling
✅ Whisper-quiet variable-speed operation
✅ Improved energy efficiency
✅ A simpler, more reliable system that’s easier to service in the future

Not every RV needs a full replacement, but when an older zoned system starts becoming unreliable, upgrading can save you from chasing one issue after another while dramatically improving comfort.

If your RV struggles to stay cool, has an outdated climate control system, or you’re wondering if an upgrade makes more sense than another repair, give us a call. We’d be happy to help you find the best solution for your RV.

“Quality control is serious business… someone has to test the recliners. 😎”

People always ask what takes so long during an RV inspection. Well… besides checking every major system, making sure the furniture is comfortable is obviously part of the job. 😂

In all seriousness, a professional RV inspection is about much more than flipping on a few lights and checking if the A/C blows cold.

We inspect:
✔️ Roof & exterior
✔️ Electrical systems
✔️ Plumbing & water systems
✔️ LP gas system
✔️ Appliances
✔️ HVAC systems
✔️ Slide-outs & leveling systems
✔️ Safety equipment
✔️ And hundreds of other items that can become expensive surprises if they’re overlooked.

And yes… every now and then we have to make sure the recliners are still comfortable after a long day of camping. We do these things so you don’t have to. 😉

Would you rather discover a problem during an inspection… or on the first night of your camping trip?

👇 Tell me in the comments—what’s the most comfortable recliner you’ve ever sat in inside an RV?

One year ago yesterday, Countryside RVing officially opened its doors.

What started as a dream after retiring from 21 years in the U.S. Coast Guard has grown into something I couldn’t have imagined. Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of RV owners across North Texas with inspections, repairs, maintenance, and owner walk-throughs.

To every customer who trusted me with your RV, shared my business with friends, left a review, or simply supported this journey—thank you. Your confidence in me has made this first year an incredible one.

I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, but I’m even more excited about what’s ahead. My goal has always been simple: provide honest, high-quality service and treat every customer’s RV like it’s my own.

Here’s to another year of keeping your adventures rolling.

Thank you for being part of the Countryside RVing family. 🚐💙

Not every RV we work on gets a second chance.

This one had damage that could have been repaired, but the insurance company made the decision to total it instead. As technicians, that’s never the outcome we hope for.

Our goal is always to repair an RV safely and correctly whenever possible. We know these aren’t just campers—they’re family vacation memories, full-time homes, or the result of years of hard work. Unfortunately, once an insurance company determines the repair costs exceed their threshold, that decision is out of our hands.

While we hate seeing an RV hauled away like this, we’re grateful for every customer who trusts us to fight for the best repair solution first.

If your RV has been damaged, don’t assume it’s a total loss. Let us inspect it and provide an honest assessment before making any decisions.

📞 Need an inspection or repair estimate? Reach out today—we’re here to help.

🚿 Tankless Water Heater Descaling: Why It Matters

Most RV owners never see what comes out of a tankless water heater during a descaling service… and that’s exactly why it’s so important.

The first photo shows our descaling setup circulating cleaning solution through the water heater to break down mineral buildup and scale inside the heat exchanger.

The second photo? That’s the same solution after only 15 minutes of circulation. 😳

All that discoloration is contamination and mineral buildup being removed from the system. Over time, scale can reduce efficiency, restrict water flow, cause inconsistent water temperatures, trigger error codes, and shorten the life of your tankless water heater.

Regular maintenance keeps your hot water system running efficiently and can help prevent expensive repairs down the road.

Not sure when your water heater was last serviced? It might be time to take a look before problems start.

📞 Call us today or send us a message to schedule your tankless water heater maintenance service.

Today, while many of us are gathered with friends and family enjoying the freedoms we often take for granted, I encourage everyone to pause and remember what Memorial Day is truly about.

After serving 21 years in the United States Coast Guard and losing numerous friends and shipmates along the way, this day carries a different meaning for many of us who served. Memorial Day is not just about a long weekend… it is about honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice so the rest of us could continue living free.

Today, hug your loved ones a little tighter. Be thankful for the moments around you. And never forget the brave men and women who never made it home.

We hope you all have a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day Prayer

Lord our God, we give thanks to you for the great land of our birth with all its liberties and many blessings.

Today we especially give thanks for those who served their country in its hour of need, and for our fallen comrades, who have given their very lives in that service. May we never forget their sacrifice.

Lord, watch over those military men and women on American and foreign soils this day, who knowing the real and potential dangers of their work, stand ready to preserve the cause of freedom with the devotion to duty as those who served before them.

Grant your continued Divine care over the family members who are called upon daily to watch and wave good-bye to their loved ones as they go to their duty as members of our nation’s Armed Forces. Honor their devotion and sacrifice. AMEN.

If your RV is struggling to keep up with the heat, now is the time to upgrade before peak summer temperatures hit hard.

Message us today to schedule your A/C diagnostic, replacement, or upgrade appointment!
