It has been so much fun going through the items that were left behind over 20 years ago when I bought the Home Idea Factory. The original owner was very talented, and not only owned a printing factory, but also was an architect and designed my home. This is the sketch he drew in the late 1940's, early 1950s of how he wanted to design the pool. It has been the topic of a lot of discussions, since it was built 1 1/2 stories above ground before that was a chic thing to do. Since we are on a ledge of rock, it was easier to go up than down, and this made it possible to build the pool house into the side of it.
