ASCE Environmental Project Team at UC Davis

ASCE Environmental Project Team at UC Davis The Environmental Project is a student-run project. We welcome all majors!

Each year, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) hosts the Mid-Pacific Conference, where we participate with other colleges in a wastewater treatment competition. For this competition, we must build a wastewater treatment system that treats a certain number of constituents (such as nitrate, phosphate, etc.); however, according to a urgent scenario, this treatment system must be built on-s

ite (at the competition) and must consist of only items that can be found in any typical garage. We participate to get a better grasp of different techniques for treating water while having fun working on a team.

Voter Registration ENDS in 24 HOURS!!!!!! Act NOW or React Later. Choice is ours to make.

Prop30 has direct implications on the UC Students. If Prop30 fails, our tuition goes up by $2,400/yr and that's a FACT. Make your VOICE HEARD by registering today at http://asucd.ucdavis.edu/2012/09/25/voter/.

In State of California, only 13% of the eligible voters are of age 18-24 and only half of the 13% register to vote. REGISTER YOURSELF and YOUR FRIENDS. Thanks.

ASUCD is proud to bring online voter registration to students, faculty, staff, and alumni. This November election is critical to the success of our students and university as a whole, with crucial propositions and political positions at stake. As a public university, elections are particularly impor...

A humble request to all my fella Aggies... please register to vote @ https://orgsync.com/51812/news_posts/37791/show. It's simple and only takes 5 mins.

We have an important choice to make. If Prop30 fails, we will be paying $2,000 more in tuition fees annually starting Winter Qtr.

ACT NOW (by registering to vote) or REACT LATER (by finding means to pay extra $2,000 annually). Hope you chose the former. As Pres Clinton said, "we are all in this together, but we will have to act individually." Register yourself and get your friends to register too.

Problem with our Water and how can we be part of the solution.

Water is the basic source of life. Even though sea water level is rising, freshwater supply is decreasing by leaps and bounds day by day. As Gandhi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world." If we are truly serious about sustaining our water supply, we have to be part of the solution, not just the criticism.

It all begins with just understanding the problem. Here is animated video by Surfrider Foundation which gives the most holistic picture of the use and abuse of water, and the problems inherent in how we manage our water supply: http://vimeo.com/10328536.

The Cycle of Insanity: The Real Story of Water is a short, animated film made by a collaboration of creative and dedicated volunteers at the Surfrider Foundation.…
