So I picked up a nice little snowmobile trailer Wednesday night, ride on ride off 3- place, very cost friendly, anyway went to load Jared's sled up and blew that effin arctic cat up right there in the damn driveway! Just goes to show, you never know when, so till then, ride it like you stole it!!

Getting ready to go to California. Friday night is the RSWC parent mixer and banquet. Then, two full days of classes and training. Racing is THE best sport in the whole world!!!!

Well there it is. ARC billet flywheel really makes it "pop". That is a nice piece and is required when you spin it up over 5800 rpm. Safety first, as always. Next thing is to take care of carbueration and exaust. Oh yeah, now is the perfect time to once again VERIFY SPARK PLUG TO PISTON CLEARANCE!!!!!

Set ignition timing using the in the hole method. Take note of the positin of the magnet in relationship to the coil pick-up. This is when spark occurs. Since we will be running Methanol, timing is set at 32* BTDC, or .230 in the hole. Be sure to lap the flywheel in and use GREEN loctite. At this time I usually lap the clutch in the same way you would a flywheel. It just saves time to do it now instead of fighting it later when you are putting the motor on your kart.

Fast W***y has developed a technique for welding and grinding cams. this particular cam is modeled after a Dyno An-mod1 Animal profile. Just use the stock cam that came in the motor grab a welder and a bench grinder and get after it! This cam was ground by Jared Storer. Nice work Jared!

Deck the block the same as you milled the head. Take it down as far as you can until you hit the sleeve. You will know when the dark circle appears that you are there. Any further and you will be milling the piston, which probably wouldnt be a bad thing if you really look at the stock piston you will see. W***y will save that for another time.

After milling the head, now is a good time to knock all the burrs of all edges and chamfer the bolt bosses. I might add that when you mill this down this far, you need to check for the spark plug clearance. This case requires the use of a Bosch Platinum plug otherwise a standard Champion or equal will act as a piston dead stop and we all know what that will do when we go to fire this bad boy up!

Head milled .060. Did this with a belt sander and a finish board. Port work accomplished with some rotary rasps and a dremmel. 28 # valve springs. Modified Animal pushrods.

Fast W***y's Yamaha MM Mod. Love to hear the triples scream! Wasn't much for snow but we were able to see the gain from the air box mod. We monitored the plug color and it showed that the jetting was in fact correct. Going to Lookout Pass for some REAL riding. Get some!!!!
