Today hubby and I had the entire day off together🤯 Can you believe that?! We’ve been so busy with both our jobs that our days off have been cray-cray and all mixed up! So what did we do? We went to @homedepot! Never did I ever think I’d find such a perfect rug for my space at @homedepot y’all! And we all know this family basically lives there🤣 it seriously pulls it all together! All we need to do is finish the trim on the first floor and this space will be complete!

The fireplace is done🙌🏼 I wanted to add tile for the surround, which I’ll still do once I figure out how, but I am loving it so far! I also want to put a big round mirror where the tobacco basket is now and a statement piece accent chair to replace the big one in the corner. Then I’ll need new couches too🙄😂 A lot of people have been telling me they too, are switching it up in their homes! Is it just the year for that? Are you giving your home a little extra TLC this year?

Hubby finished the floors! Or at least majority of it lol the kitchen, dining & entryway are still the older engineered hardwoods but once we save up for that next step we will pull those up and the entire first floor will have my dream grey floors! I will say though, now that we have new floors, I want to change the furniture haha and I’ve decided to stick with the cream trim. I won’t fight it anymore, I’ll embrace it and work with it haha anyone else compromise with themselves? I just think I could make it work and change other things instead of literally painting all the trim/doors/crown molding🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s not a battle I want to fight lol

Still reminiscing these floors😍 They were in a home we ( @shoptherusticmarket ) delivered furniture to about a month ago and I was so in love I had to snap a picture! This was the laundry room which was, wait for it.... attached to the master bedroom! What🤯?! If my laundry room was attached to my master bedroom I think I’d do laundry more often... maybe🤷🏼‍♀️😂 Would you want your laundry room off the master bedroom?

N E W Y E A R 💕 S A M E M E

Colorful hair and all! Today we went floor shopping and decided on grey laminate wood flooring and I cannot wait til it’s installed! (Swipe to see the flooring😍) I have wanted grey flooring for so long and this is the year it’s happening! I’ve been saying I want my house to feel like our home for some time now and I’m choosing to make that happen this year! Now I need to decide how I want my fireplace since I’m ripping up the flooring anyway I might as well do the fireplace since it’s on the floor too🤷🏼‍♀️ Thank you hubby for pointing that out to me haha I’m thinking tile with some sort of pop of color? Holy moly I’m back!!! I miss y’all so much! Oh my gosh y’all don’t even know! It has been an amazing season this year even though it hasn’t consisted of making signs. I started working at my favorite store ever —>@therusticmarket as a merchandiser to make all the things pretty this past summer✨ well little did I know that such a small beginning would turn into the idea to have me manage the store! *insert photo of me jumping up and down like a little kid here* It has been so amazing and crazy and at some points stressful (ok a lot of points stressful😜 lol) but I am so grateful for this opportunity! And I’m so happy to see a lot of my own customers face to face more often now! I cannot wait to see where this journey will take me but now that I’ve adjusted and gotten my life a little back on track I hope to come back to all the pretty little squares! Happy Sunday! It’s been a crazy week but I finally have a day off and guess what I’m doing? Finishing the last batch of signs that will ship out tomorrow, finishing a blanket ladder order and then I’m cleaning my house and putting Christmas up! Yes!! It’s happening and I’m so excited! Anyone else have Christmas up yet?

My life went from crazy busy to even crazy busier! I had to make a decision to step away from the world of Instagram, not completely, but much more than I was stepping away before. Why? Because my family time means more to me. And that’s how it should be. We stare at our phones all day long, we study how the algorithm is and what times are best to post for the best engagement and what hashtags to use and what apps to use and the list goes on and on. I was missing so much life around me especially when it came to being a wife and a mother and didn’t want to do that anymore especially with working a full time job and running my own business. Now instead of staring at my phone all day or when I’m done working my day job, I read to my tiny human, or paint with her or look for bugs with her (yea, she’s that kid) or we go to dinner as a family of three or carve pumpkins around the kitchen table. Stepping away from Instagram sounds like it’d be easy, but when you run a business and 95% of that business comes from Instagram, it’s REALLY REALLY hard. But, at the end of it all, family has to come first🧡 I hope all of you are doing fantastic and thank you for taking the time to read!

FIVE YEARS TODAY💗 Five years ago I high fived this man at the alter (no seriously, we high fived after I walked down the aisle) Probably because we were both amazed at the fact I walked down the aisle in heels and didn’t eat complete crap in front of everyone🤣 A week later we found out this tiny human was going to be a part of our lives and if we thought married life was going to be a challenge, try adding pregnancy hormones in the mix lol my poor husband. Six months after tiny human arrived we moved to Georgia where we purchased our first home as a married couple and just recently bought one of our dream cars which is currently driving her very first road trip! We are off to Charleston to celebrate five years together and tiny human is so excited for the beach! Mommy & daddy are excited for city adventures! Our life together has been one adventure after the other and I am so very blessed to be able to live this life with this man by my side every step of the way. You are my home and my adventure all at the same time💕
