SHOE WITH HOUSTON CHARM FOUND IN KERR COUNTY FLOOD RECOVERY
Agents with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service assisting in flood recovery efforts in Kerr County discovered a child’s Croc shoe today along the Guadalupe River. The shoe is a size 3 and includes several identifiable charms—including a Houston charm and a Camp Mystic charm. It was found 13–15 miles south of Camp Mystic, caught in debris along the river. Federal agents believe it may belong to one of the children impacted by the recent flash flooding in the area. Many families are still searching for belongings of their loved ones—both survivors and victims—and this may provide a connection.
The shoe is currently in the care of Jim Stinebaugh, a Houston-area resident assisting with recovery efforts. We’re sharing this in hopes that it reaches the family it belongs to.
