you get rebuildable cars? Most of our Clean, Hand Picked, Late Model, Repairable Vehicles are purchased from insurance salvage sources in the South East. Some vehicles are purchased from automotive dealers, shops, and directly from individuals. In all cases, we are looking for vehicles that were in above average to excellent condition prior to loss and will provide great value for our customers. How safe are repairable cars after being fixed? When properly fixed, rebuilt cars are as safe as any other car on the road. What type of title do repaired cars have? Unless specified all vehicles are sold with an Alabama Rebuilt Title. This means that the vehicle has passed a proper restoration inspection by an Investigator from the Alabama Department of Revenue. In some instances vehicles will carry Clean Titles. First, understand the difference between Clean title repaired cars and Rebuilt title repaired cars. Clean titles are just that – they may be damaged or in need of some work, but they have had no major body or engine damage. Keep this in mind next time you're shopping the car lots. Carfax and AutoCheck aren't always right on damage history folks. Depending on the state in which you live, a car may have a Clean title as long as the damage done to it is under a predetermined percentage of the cars total value. In most cases, you can be sure that a Clean title car has not had major repair work. A Rebuilt title car differs in one major way it has been declared a total loss due to collision, theft, fire, vandalism, or flood. This damage may actually be quite minimal. If the insurance company believes it would be more expensive to repair the damage than to replace the car, they may ‘total’ it. It is then given a salvage title which after inspected results in a Rebuilt title. All of our vehicles sold have been inspected. In our existence we have seen occasions where clean title damaged cars be in worse shape than salvage title damaged cars. It all depends on how the insurance company declares the loss and brands the title. We do stay away from Flood cars, unless we can prove for a fact that the water damage was fresh water (not salt!), very minimal, and cosmetic only.
