2012 Nissan with minor bumper damage. In the final picture it looks like there are imperfections on the lower part of the bumper. Those are reflections coming off the asphalt. Now that is a high gloss clear coat!

Worked on a Subaru. Front bumper was hit by a truck hitch when it was backing up. On the final picture the hole on the left is the old screw hole for the license. Will be using that hole plus a new one to attach the license plate back on.

So do cosmetic repairs to your vehicle increase the resale value? Not always. It really depends on the make, model and year. Another important determining factor is who you are selling to, a dealership or private party. Many times the increase in value when selling to a dealership is negligible while selling to a private party can both increase value and help sell the vehicle quicker. If you are turning in a lease vehicle, take it to the dealership a month before you need to turn it in. Ask them if there are any charges for the cosmetic damages on the vehicle. Some manufacturers include reconditioning into the lease agreement where others have created profit centers as additional revenue to the agreement. Better to know the cost up front, if there is one, and also good to know you have other options as opposed to the dealership.
