“Trust your Life to the LORD”

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭
With everything I’ve gone through, going through and the things to come I thank the Lord every morning and Trust the plan He has for my life. I’ve learned to Trust every step I take to the LORD my G-d, and I am so grateful for Him today. The Bible says; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭
Today I turn 68 years old and I have no idea where this day, or any other day after this will lead me but I know and love the One who does. For me Trusting the LORD isn’t an option it’s my life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way…“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”

“A Changed Heart”

“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭
Only G-d can give us these holy qualities. We can talk about them and help each other with them, but the changed heart and behavior can only come from a close relationship with G-d through His Word. It’s not about hiding our bad habits it’s letting G-d change them for the good works He has for us. The Bible says; “Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭10‬ ‭
“Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭2‬ ‭
Our goal is to have the same attitude that Jesus had in every situation, no matter what it looks like to us. How we respond matters. This isn’t a learned behavior but a changed heart that can only come from G-d…“For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.””

“You Are What You Seek”

“If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭13‬ ‭
There are way too many things in this world today that distract us from what’s important. Things that take us away from our time with
G-d, especially when it comes to putting Him first and above everything else. This world challenges our choices and our attention every minute of the day. The Bible says; “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬ ‭
Putting G-d first in our lives isn’t a suggestion. It isn’t a phrase we use but a choice we must make throughout every moment of our lives. I truly stand behind the saying “you are what you seek.” With saying that, you need to ask yourself, “are you seeking what you claim to be the most important thing in your life today?” If you don’t fill your mind with the Word of G-d the world will have its way with you…“And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.”

“Welcome Home”

“But when he had become powerful, he also became proud, which led to his downfall. He sinned against the Lord his God by entering the sanctuary of the Lord’s Temple and personally burning incense on the incense altar.”
‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭26‬:‭16‬ ‭
I don’t think any of us start out prideful, but with gaining knowledge and power it’s one of the greatest tests. In my opinion, I don’t think we are truly humbled before G-d until pride and ego are tested. Humility comes from a fall from grace and a realization that what we have accomplished is not our own. Through adversity we all ran to our Lord and Savior for refuge, where we felt his strength and safety. Adversity is where humility comes and pride is left behind. The Bible says; “Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, he will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes. Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭30‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭
We have all came from the devils stronghold, one way or another, but what we didn’t understand was just how easy we can end up back there. We need to realize and understand that pride will lead us back into the wilderness again. We can never forget who we ran to and how with open arms humbled us. The pride battle does not belong to us, it belongs to Jesus. All we need to do is surrender it…“So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.”

“A Choice Between Life and Death”

“Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭32‬ ‭
The choices we make are like the words we say they will either acquit us or condemn us. It’s so important for us to Love each other in the same way that Jesus Loves us. That same love, must forgive the same as well. The Bible says; ““If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭
There are eternal consequences for the choices we make. This is why our relationship with G-d, through His word, is so important. We can never forget that the wages of sin is death, but free gift of G-d is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. The choice is ours and I pray you make the right decision. “But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!”
