Is Screen Burn-In Still a Thing?

In 2026, modern TVs are tougher, but "Image Retention" (temporary ghosting) and "Burn-In" (permanent damage) can still happen—especially on OLED screens.

How to protect your display:

DON'T leave it on Pause: Use those built-in screen savers!

AVOID constant "Vivid" Mode: Max brightness wears out pixels faster.

Vary Your Content: Don't leave the same news ticker or game HUD on for 10+ hours a day.

Most new TVs have Pixel Shifting and Logo Dimming to help, but a little caution goes a long way in keeping that picture crisp!

For sale is a vintage Sunbeam Model DT-3 Flip Clock, manufactured in 1976. This isn't a "garage find" condition clock—it has been fully serviced and restored to run like new.

​Most flip clocks from this era suffer from loud, grinding motors or burnt-out lights. I have personally restored this unit to ensure it is ready for daily use.

✅ Motor Serviced: The gearbox has been cleaned and lubricated. It runs whisper-quiet with no grinding or buzzing.
