Front Sway Bar.....check

We swapped out the 2 inch dropped spindles to standard height spindles.

This will correct our cross member to spring hat geometry as per the destructions.

This baby going to be a roller again real soon.

I'm very curious what she will weigh in at with the Mustang 2 front end installed.

I tried the SWANGAS on the Nash. I kinda like it. We are working out the details of the front suspension. Starting with moving the axle center line forward 2.5 inches. Shock absorbers and sway bar are the current mini projects among building the rest of the vehicle.

20 gallon fuel cell roughed in.

We have to pay attention to the sump height with this build. Laying frame .......the fuel lines and fittings are exposed. I will be making a skid plate for the rear under the fuel cell.

Parallel 4 Link mocked up.

Fits like a glove.

Ford 8.8 Rear axle upgrade. Disc brakes , Positrac and 3,23 gears. This rear axle is approximately 100 pounds than the huge original drum brake rear end.

We stretched the rear wheel base about 2 inches. This will provide a more comfortable ride to the rear passengers and increase stability at moden highway speeds of 75 plus mph. Original wheel base was 117 inches. Hopefully we will come in at 121 inches or so when the front is done.

At ride height there is 4.25 inches between the chassis and axle tubes.

The vehicle originally came with 4.11s. With the overdrive transmission she will be a badass highway cruiser now.

And lay frame at rest.

The crew is stripping paint and old body filler off this Tahoe hood.

We are trying this surface conditioning tool for the first time.

Kicks major a$$ when time is money!

Here is the wheel skirts removed off the mold. Initial trimming when the fiberglass is still soft. They came out nice and are holding their shape nicely. A good cure over nite and make up mounting and reinforcement brackets next.

Today we made rear wheel skirt patterns for the 39.

We borrowed the skirts off this gorgeous Hudson as templates.

First is wrap the painted skirts with masking film to protect the paint.

Then we apply a liberal coating of baby powder as a release agent to get the fiberglass pattern off the skirt.

We then roughly trim the fiberglass fabric, mix the resin with it's catalyst and work all the air bubbles out. Fold the corners like wrapping a present and form tight bends around the outer edges.
