Solid Waste Collections Update

Copperas Cove, Texas – Due to side street conditions continuing to be iced over today, along with the fact that our waste transporter will not be taking trash from our transfer station to the landfill, Solid Waste collections must be delayed another day.

In the meantime, residential customers may choose to take their trash directly to the transfer station for no additional charges, just show proof of residency.

Additionally, Solid Waste is staging a roll-off container at the Town Square Plaza (100-200 W Bus US 190) which residential customers may use as well without additional charges.

The Solid Waste Dept. is continuing to assess and will get trash collected as soon as they are able. All residential customers may place and leave receptacles curbside until they can be collected, even if delayed a day or two.

The City of Copperas Cove will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates as they become available.

Many in our community have asked how they can show their support and honor Officer Garretson. His patrol unit is now parked in front of the police department for those who wish to stop by and pay their respects.

We appreciate the outpouring of support. 💙

🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶

🥶 Much colder air settles into the vast majority of tonight and early morning. We cannot stress enough that there will be black on roads and bridges that may be hard to notice, particularly in the snow melt regions. It will be important to also drip faucets and cover any outdoor spigots. Protect your pets, plants and people as well.
