Local Business Opportunity
The Former Diamond Matchstick Factory was built in 1905 and was a core business of Cloquet, providing hundreds of jobs to the community. Through the years, as markets changed, the business never faltered from the core business of making matchsticks.
In 2016, things changed, the factory was purchased by an out state entity, and the doors closed, causing many losses to the area community. In 2017, local partners Mike Koski and Len Lund, or LT Diamond, purchased the property. "We wanted to bring new opportunities to the community we live and work in, and thought the best way to do that was to keep this property local," says Koski.
