🔧 Fix-It Friday | January 2

This one’s important — and expensive if ignored.

🚛 Drivers: ALWAYS make sure your fuel cap is secured before washing your truck.

We’ve seen this happen firsthand. A missing or loose fuel cap allowed water to enter the fuel tank during a wash. That water didn’t just sit there — algae began growing inside the fuel system.

Here’s what followed:

Contaminated fuel (lab tested at 80% water)
Plugged fuel filters & fuel/water separator
Injector failure
Fuel rail contamination
Severe performance issues

The worst part? The truck kept being driven, which allowed the contamination to spread and build up throughout the entire system.

💥 End result: the entire fuel system was destroyed — not long after a brand-new engine had been installed.

This was preventable.

👉 Take the extra 5 seconds.
👉 Check your fuel cap.
👉 Save yourself thousands.
