A little dirt bike maintenance wrapped up at Colby’s Garage 👊

Got this Yamaha WR250F and WR450F taken care of with fresh tires and front brake work so they’re ready to get back out and ridden instead of sitting in the garage waiting on maintenance 😂

Another one wrapped up for Colby’s Garage 👨‍🔧

This 2010 Nissan 370Z came in with clutch issues and an empty clutch reservoir. After diagnosing the system, I confirmed the concentric slave cylinder (CSC) was leaking inside the bellhousing.

The transmission came out, the failed CSC was replaced with an upgraded unit, and while everything was apart we also replaced the clutch master cylinder to help freshen up the hydraulic system and avoid another failure down the road.

Everything was reassembled, filled, bled, and tested before handing it back over.

🏍️ Dealer-quality maintenance. Your driveway.

This 2024 Suzuki GSX-8R came due for its factory 7,500-mile service. Instead of dropping it off at a dealership for days, Mitchell had me come to him.

The service included:
✅ Engine oil & filter replacement
✅ Spark plug replacement
✅ Chain inspection, cleaning, adjustment & lubrication
✅ Complete 7,500-mile factory maintenance inspection
✅ Safety check and torque check of chassis and exhaust fasteners

One thing I strive for with every job is taking the time to explain what I’m doing and why, so customers know exactly what they’re paying for.

🔧 Sometimes the real problem isn’t the part—it’s the previous repair.

This Subaru Crosstrek came to me for an oil pan replacement after the drain plug had been stripped. Once I removed the pan, it became obvious someone had previously used a temporary repair instead of fixing the issue correctly.

Rather than continuing to patch it, the owner decided to replace the oil pan so he wouldn’t have to worry about leaks or damaged threads every oil change.

Sometimes spending a little more now saves you from dealing with the same headache over and over.

Another happy customer!🤘🏼🥳

Bob’s Nissan 370Z came to me after fighting recurring engine codes for nearly a year. Between time spent troubleshooting and money already invested, the issue still wasn’t solved.

Instead of throwing more parts at it, we took a step back, diagnosed the problem properly, corrected previous wiring repairs, and got the car running the way it should.

One of my biggest goals with Colby’s Garage is helping people avoid unnecessary repairs by finding the actual problem first.

Another bike back on the road. 🏍️

Customer was dealing with low power, rough running, and intermittent stalling.

After a full inspection, I found the previous spark plugs were incorrect for the bike and the air filter was completely clogged. After replacing both and giving everything a once-over, the difference was immediate. The bike now starts, idles, and runs dramatically better.

While it was here, I also performed a complete inspection and documented other maintenance items and repairs the owner may want to tackle in the future so there are no surprises.

I believe in fixing the cause—not just replacing random parts and hoping for the best.

❄️ Another successful diagnostic this morning!

Customer complaint:
“No Cold Air”

After some testing, I tracked the issue down to some damaged wiring at the connector plug for the high pressure switch in the A/C system.

Instead of guessing and replacing expensive parts, I found an actual fault and repaired it properly, and then took further steps to ensure no future failures of the same nature. 🔧

One of my biggest goals with Colby’s Garage is finding the root cause of a problem before recommending repairs. Sometimes the fix is much simpler than people expect.

If you’re dealing with a check engine light, drivability issue, strange noise, electrical problem, or just want a second opinion before spending money at a shop, feel free to reach out.
