Clear Beams Clarksville

09/05/2026

I really didn’t want to have to make this post.

I started Clear Beams Clarksville because I wanted to provide a great service. I wanted to approach this business with a handshake mentality and trust those I do business with. That means a lot to me. I didn’t want to make customers pay anything until the job was done. I know my quality of work and wanted to let it speak for itself.

Then this happened.

The screenshots tell the story. I’ll leave the details for you to see for yourself, and I’ve intentionally removed the customer’s photo because this isn’t about putting someone on blast.

But when you’re a small business owner, your time matters.

I made the trip (45min total), showed up for the appointment, and found out at the last minute that the customer was no longer needing my service. I had even extended a previous special because of the circumstances they shared with me.

Yes, maybe I should have already required the deposit, and confirmed the apt before driving there, and had a signed agreement, and not offered my special, or believed him at all… but I did… And I’ll continue to believe in those who come after him.

With that said, I really wanted to avoid requiring deposits. Unfortunately, I can’t afford to have my time treated like it has no value. It’s the one thing I’ll never get back. (Iykyk)

So going forward, Clear Beams Clarksville will require 50% upfront to reserve an appointment. I’ll be restoring headlights at that same appointment. If I can not restore your headlights I’ll return your deposit on the spot. Not because I want to make things harder, or because I don’t trust people, but because I have to protect my time and my business.

I’ll announce and tag the winner September 30th!
