“View from a Castle Wall” is my latest watercolor painting….and it’s not a motorcycle! We toured several castles on our Wales visit several years ago. This is Chepstow Castle. The mountain view outside is strictly from my imagination. I loved adding a fantasy element. I had so much fun painting this, and will do more in the future. Prints are available.

It was so nice to receive these today. My honorable mention award certificate for the Missouri International Show, plus a check and a gift certificate for art supplies. Artists love the opportunity to buy more “art stuff!” This means a lot to me. As a Covid long-hauler, I haven’t been able to focus on artwork as much. Any bit of reinforcement feels really good.

My latest “bike under construction😂”. As they say, slow and steady wins the race! With being a Covid Long Hauler, this has taken me longer to complete. But it’s gradually coming to life, as it were. Each day, I step back and look at it from a distance. It helps to spark ideas and see if there are changes needed. Probably another month before it is “ready to roll.”

Covid has certainly knocked me for a loop, so I haven’t posted in a while. I do, however, have some new work to share. “Chrome and Fire”-is 12” by 12” unframed. This bike has such gorgeous bold colors and such a graphic style I just couldn’t resist capturing it in watercolor.

Irises have long been my favorite flower to paint. I always like to do a floral or 2 after I’ve completed a large motorcycle painting. These beauties were growing at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I had a lot of fun painting this. I do have 11”x14” prints available, plus the original for sale. Maybe I’ll plant more iris bulbs soon!
