PACCAR MX Flywheel Housing & Endurant HD Clutch Repair 🔧

This PACCAR MX came into the shop with an engine oil leak. After inspecting the unit, we traced the leak back to the flywheel housing.

The flywheel housing had previously been removed and resealed by another repair facility, but unfortunately, the leak returned. Since this was already a repeat repair, the customer decided to replace the flywheel housing rather than attempt to reseal the existing housing again.

While we had the transmission out, we took care of everything needed to put this truck back together right:

🛠️ Installed a new flywheel housing
🛠️ Installed a new Eaton Endurant RR2000CL clutch
🛠️ Replaced all required torque-to-yield hardware
🛠️ Reassembled and inspected the unit for proper operation and leaks

This truck is equipped with an Eaton Endurant HD automated transmission, and jobs like this are exactly why proper installation procedures and replacing one-time-use hardware matter.

Whether it’s an oil leak, clutch failure, transmission issue, or a repair that just won’t stay fixed, American Force Field Service has the equipment and experience to handle it.

BROKEN MANIFOLD BOLTS — CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. 🔧

This Village plow truck came into American Force Field Service with a serious exhaust manifold problem on its Ford 6.8L V10.

We found 19 broken exhaust manifold bolts that needed to be removed. With that many broken bolts—and limited access with the engine installed—we made the decision to pull the engine and do the repair the right way.

Some of the broken bolts were successfully drilled and extracted. Others weren’t giving up that easily and had to be completely drilled out and the threads re-tapped to restore.

This wasn’t a quick manifold job. It took patience, precision, and a whole lot of drilling to save the existing heads and get this truck put back together correctly.

For municipal fleets, work trucks, heavy equipment, and everything in between, American Force Field Service is equipped to handle the repairs that don’t always go according to plan.

We recently had the opportunity to perform a full pre-trip inspection and preventive maintenance service on the tractor for Samson Monster Truck Racing before it headed south to Georgia for a pretty special pickup.

The cargo coming home wasn't just another monster truck — it was Dan Patrick's original Samson race truck, built in the fall of 1993 with the iconic cantilever suspension and debuted in Lima, Ohio in 1994.

This truck has some serious history behind it. In 1994, Samson became the first truck to break the 5-second barrier in the Penda Series at Bloomsburg, PA. After spending nearly two decades on display at Fun Spot parks in Florida and Georgia, it's finally back home and headed toward a full restoration.

We're proud that American Force Field Service got to play a small part in bringing this piece of monster truck history home by making sure the tractor was serviced, inspected, and ready for the trip.

A huge thank you to Samson Monster Truck Racing and PEI for trusting our team with your equipment. We can't wait to see this truck restored back to its original glory!

A little late on the post, but we couldn’t miss sharing this one! 🚒

American Force Field Service was invited to participate in the Scioto Township Touch-a-Truck, and we had an awesome time!

We loved seeing all the different trucks, meeting everyone, and especially seeing how excited and engaged all the kids were. There’s nothing better than watching them climb up, check out the equipment, and learn a little about the vehicles they see out working every day.

Such a cool community event, and we’re grateful we got to be a part of it! Thank you to Scioto Township for having us! 🇺🇸🔧🚛

Preventative upgrades that pay off.

We recently installed a Banks Monster-Ram on a Ram 4500 6.7L Cummins. This upgrade eliminates the problematic factory grid heater, removing a well-known failure point where the factory retaining nut can corrode or come loose and potentially be ingested by the engine, leading to catastrophic engine damage.

We also installed a PPE deep transmission pan, increasing transmission fluid capacity to help reduce operating temperatures and improve transmission performance and reliability, especially while towing or working under heavy loads.

If you’re interested in reliability upgrades like these for your diesel truck, give American Force Field Service a call. Whether it’s preventative upgrades, performance enhancements, diagnostics, or major repairs, our experienced mobile technicians have you covered.
