Last hurrah to end 2025. Alignment machine is up and running and already keeping me busy. Roush Mustang needing a brake upgrade to a Regal with a bad o-ring causing a very small coolant leak. And last but not least a C8 Z06 needing a tire repair. 345/25 run flat with not even a 1k miles on her. Gary Miller thank you so much for the test drive, we coulda traded cars but for some reason you kept saying NO. To All my clients/customers thank you so much for your trust with your toys, rigs, and your daily drivers. May 2026 be better than the last one. Happy New Year everyone.

Finally got some free time to post. New alignment machine is up and running, ready whenever you are. From repairing a leaky heater core to fixing an inop dash cluster, I'm here to keep your wheels rolling. Need a 2nd opinion? Want to know if you're being played? I've secured a lot of my clients by being upfront and honest to "what can potentially be a problem" to "I wouldn't worry about that right now" type situations. A lot of big chain shops run their business on the higher the ticket is, the better average per car coming in will be and pressure you into repairs way too soon. As if you're never coming back for any future service. If you see me after them , then that's a true statement.

Those who have ever owned a Silverado/Sierra for any length of time know exactly what this is. Can leave you stranded on a moments notice. Do you travel with hose pinchers and extra antifreeze/water? Then you might want to consider this preventative maintenance when you get that antifreeze flush, radiator hoses replaced or that leaky water pump addressed. Or see your tow truck/mechanic for each cooling issue when it confronts you. Your choice. Get another 10 years "peace of mind" with plastic replacements or go metal and forget about it

From new vehicle inspections to new shoes and an engine replacement in between all of that. I have slowly adding the addition of some new shop equipment. Hopefully before 2026 hits us, I will have it calibrated and performing wheel alignments as another service for my clients.

Had this beauty for a couple of days, new customer and a new owner of this frame off restored 64. Coming back after a game plan is laid out when I diagnosed some issues. One problem was fixed but has two more that need addressing.

Been contemplating whether I should post this or not as it seems like some people out there think just because it's an old car that it's easier to work on than the modern stuff. Maybe ASE certified YouTubers think if you watch enough videos I can do this. Well, now I'm saying don't believe everything on the Internet as you might believe "You got this" and tackle something only to make things worse. As I get older and think I've seen it all it's a "hold my beer" and watch this scenario. Old school OBD1 set-up so the part stores can't help you cause they can't plug anything in and tell you what's wrong. Just make this run better the owner says, been chasing a vacuum leak. The more I tore into this, the more I'm thinking WTF. Find a plastic clamp used for the air injection under the intake. Idle circuit completely blocked off and plugged up with RTV. An epoxy fixed radiator leaking, barely any water in the cooling system and a massive oil leak. This is what appeared to be an unmolested car before the owner tried to fix this. 92 C4 Corvette , YES not a single gasket was found on removal.

Came in running bad, no power with the infamous 420 code, customer thinking the catalytic converters are plugged cause it barely will go up a hill. Hard to start most times. So I say let me look before that gets done. Found a bad cam sensor connector, replaced connector, running better but still not where it should be. Check fuel pressure, slow to build up pressure and was 10 pounds below normal. Replaced fuel pump and now our powers back, idles smooth and starts right up. Don't ever assume that the code you have is the problem, diagnosis, test and confirm before giving the vehicle back to the customer. I didn't even have to reset the check engine light. Engine and computers are happy again.

New pads and rotors and with new pad sensors. Modern cars with an electronic parking brake needs a scanner to tell the car your performing maintenance. Don't tell me electronic parking brakes are somehow better than the old cable operated ones. Why, no handle to pull up. Keeping the average car owner from doing their own maintenance. KISS
