It seems Mother Nature has decided she has other plans in store for the weekend forcing us to have to cancel Sunday due to the outdoor elements of our OTR Goose Creek event. It’s not a show goes on rain or shine kind of event, unfortunately.

The owners of Goose Creek Airstrip are veteran pilots with immense experience in tracking weather patterns and have been tracking this weekends weather pattern intently for over a week now. It’s been holding steady calling for rain starting on Saturday and going into Sunday causing a wash out for our event.

We waited as long as we could to make this decision to see if the weather was going to turn in our favor but unfortunately that doesn’t look to be the case.

When it rains significantly around Goose Creek the grounds that surround the airstrip become a very soggy and muddy mess. And not to mention, what makes this event so unique and fun, is we must have a dry airstrip for the Run What You Brung portion of the event.

And lastly, there aren’t any reschedule dates for the rest of the season that align with us and Goose Creek, unfortunately. Sadly, we’ll have to put a bow on this year at this point and regroup for 2027.

Believe us when we say, we share in the disappointment deeply that this announcement brings.

Here is a look at this year’s OTR Goose Creek 2026 Airstrip event schedule and gate information. And below is some additional information for what to expect:

Independence Harley-Davidson is back as title sponsor & the exclusive H-D dealership of the OTR Goose Creek Airstrip event.

Associate sponsors that we are thankful to welcome back are Carolina’s Biker Lawyers, Interstate Cycles, & Peanut Patch Boiled Peanuts with live music by Bart Lattimore.

Folks can also expect to see a new collab with American Metal Wh***ey as well as a new collab with Waltrip Brands bringing a new beverage experience with Michael Waltrip Brewing along with their Throttle & Rust media channel.

The Rebel Spirit’s Burnout Pit will also be there for those that want their shot at some smoke.

A great variety of retail and food vendors.

From 12p-2p will be the Run What You Brung Registration at the Team Wheelhouse tent located at the starting line.

For the 2p-6p, Run What You Brung portion of the event, we are going to try it a little bit different this year to give the motorcycles their own dedicated time on the airstrip and the hotrods, trucks, cars their own dedicated time on the airstrip.

Per the Airport Owners, we unfortunately aren’t able to bring back the Drifting Exhibitions due to the damage it causes to the runway asphalt and there are to be no Heavy Trucks allowed to ride down the runway either (anything larger than a ½ ton pickup.)

In prior years, the Drifting Exhibitions and heavy trucks have done damage to the airstrip pavement, including dislodging large pieces of it.

Lastly, show up with a positive attitude and some patience and grace and the day will be all good.
