Speed Kentucky Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for 45,000-Square-Foot Assembly Facility
Owsley County project will support Speed UTV assembly and distribution and create 60 planned full-time jobs

Owsley County — Robby Gordon and Jimmy Lewis and Kentucky team celebrated the ribbon cutting of Speed Kentucky’s new 45,000-square-foot facility in Owsley County. The operation establishes Speed UTV’s first major operating base in the Eastern United States and will serve customers throughout the region.
Speed Kentucky LLC’s project is expected to create 60 full-time jobs. The facility will handle final assembly and distribution of the Bandit, Diablo, El Jefe ,Bambino models and MINI trucks, as well as three sport utility vehicles one Teenage UTV and Trucks, expanding Speed UTV’s presence in the East. State officials have described the project as the largest investment and job creation announcement on record for Owsley County. T. Gordon and Lewis extended special thanks to Booneville Mayor Nelson Bobrowski, Owsley County Judge/Executive Zeke Little Jr., Kentucky Senate President Robert Stivers, and Tal Jones, Economic Development Director for FOCUS. They also recognized Erik Hubbard and Backroads of Appalachia for their work supporting economic development through motorsports and connecting the project with the region. The King of the Hammers and Ultra4 organizations were also recognized for helping build new motorsports opportunities in Eastern Kentucky

NORRA RAPTOR RALLY — REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Jason Morgan and I are excited to invite you to the inaugural NORRA Raptor Rally, happening October 9–10, with the drivers’ meeting on October 8.

We’re limiting the Rally to just 30 vehicles for an all-inclusive Baja adventure. The racing will be outstanding, the route will be unforgettable, and we’ve got some great experiences planned along the way.

BJ Baldwin and I will be there to talk racing and answer your off-road questions. We’re also looking forward to sharing dinner with Javier at the Old Mill, featuring his incredible lobster pasta and a fine dining experience. And yes, we’ll have taco stands along the route, too!

Last Night BJ Baldwin Introduced the NORRA Raptor Rally

Were excited to announce the inaugural NORRA Raptor Rally, taking place October 8–10 as part of the NORRA 500.

This new experience will bring together 30 Ford F-150 Raptor, Raptor R, Bronco Raptor, and Ranger Raptor vehicles for a guided Baja adventure from Ensenada to San Quintín.

This is more than a drive through Baja. We’ll travel together on an approved adventure route, stop at a designated location to watch NORRA race vehicles pass, and continue to the finish in San Quintín. NORRA Operations will oversee route approval, safety, and separation from race traffic.

The hosted experience includes lodging in Ensenada and San Quintín, a private Old Mill dinner, NORRA event activities and hospitality, group leadership, and a Saturday return experience to Ensenada. Each vehicle will also complete a practical safety and readiness review before departure.

Baja has been a major part of my life, and I’m excited to share this experience with fellow Raptor owners. I’ve spent years racing and exploring the peninsula, and I’m looking forward to leading this group through an unforgettable route while helping everyone experience the Baja spirit that makes this place so special.

It’s especially cool to announce that BJ Baldwin will join us as Grand Marshal and as a participant in the NORRA Raptor Rally. BJ brings an incredible Baja legacy, unmatched energy, and a true passion for adventure. I’m looking forward to having him with us as we take on this experience together.

The inaugural group will be known as the Founding 30. We’re creating a premium, welcoming way for Raptor owners to experience Baja, enjoy the NORRA community, and be part of something special.
