Slowly been working on few items. Life events have been very abundant. More on that later.
I got my ground power bus all finished. I had to take the door off of the outside to fix it as it was binding a bit. But, I can now power the aircraft from a 20 a power supply as well as charge at least one of the batteries.
Today I got the inspection panels reinstalled. I had removed them when I moved to the hanger almost 2 years ago and have not reinstalled them. I kept dropping things down the hole so I decided today, I would finally get them re installed. Lol.
Started figuring out the evaporator on the Aircon system today as well. My original plan will not have enough room so I had to go back to the drawing board. I think I got it figured out.
Oh. And the dam door is still a work in progress. 3 years later.....lol. I ignore them for long periods of time...but, I really need to get it painted this summer and reinstalled so that I can get to blending the cabin top and getting the rest of the interior painted.

The project of late on the airplane. Building an avionics rack in the back to store the items that need to go back there. It may have become more trouble than it was worth. I probably could have built a removable shelf faster! Today, I went and installed the last nut plate that literally required me to turn my wrist 180 degrees the wrong direction! I did one last night and then gave up on the second. I also got the transponder antenna re installed today since this area is about to be covered up. I also pulled all my servos, sent them back to Garmin for their recall, and reinstalled the new ones. Later this week, I will finally bite the bullet and start cutting holes in the airplane that I have been delaying on. 3 to be exact. 1 for a fresh air intake. 1 for the aircon discharge for the condenser, and the 3rd for the electric/oxygen service port.

Motor mount got I stalled 2 weeks ago.
Over the last 2 weekends, I have been building the external control box. This is where I can refill the oxygen and connect the airplane to external ground power. Think big battery charger. This has been met with lots of challenges, and I want to be a little extra. Lol. So, my system can test the ground power for voltage before being switched to prevent 28 volts from destroying my electrical system
Then Tim came up with the idea of a mini bolt meter to test the battery voltage before connecting ground power. So I took it one step further, and we can test both batteries with the flip of the switch. This whole system is the sharpie marks at the bottom. Thanks to Amazon Aviation, the parts will be here tomorrow. Now the scarry part....cutting the hole in the side of the airplane!

About 2 weeks ago, I got the VPX box mounted. I "accidently" used the super thick bar stock I had lying around and discovered it was thick enough to tap so this made the mounting super easy...other than when I tried to tap a #6 without tapping oil and broke my tap off inside!
Today, I got the relays mounted and the shunt mounted. Once again, taking advantage of the thick bar and taping it to secure the mounting bracket. Speaking of the mounting bracket, it is repurposed from the old aileron hinges that were replaced (due to an AD) probably 3 years ago ....maybe more. Now I have 2 switches that are functional. The master switch and the engine master switch.
The pic with the plans taped to the fuselage was my attempt to put the power distribution wiring diagram in front of me as I worked for reference.

Long time no work. I literally did not touch the airplane for 2 months. I have, however, over the last few days, gotten a little work done. I put more superfil (the blue stuff) on the left door. I also installed the last of the items to the subpanel. I am installing nut plates so this process takes a bit more time than just drilling holes and bolting on! I also got my tunel cover split and I am working on the fuel valve extension. I want to get the tunel kinda done and wrapped up next before I install the main instrument panel.
O, I also bought a heater for the hanger for when I am working and it is cold...but no pics!

So this happened this week. I awoke and said, "now is the time to move to the hanger"! Today I finally got a little work done before heading out of town for a few days. There is still to move; but, I got enough moved to do a little basic work.

I know it has been since January. Not a lot of work has occurred. I have been busy helping my daughter get a series of hair salons off the ground. Meanwhile, I have been making slow progress on the doors that I did elicit a bit of help on. I was sanding too hard and resulting in me redoing many areas over and over. Now that the sanding is done, I am painting the doors before re hanging them. There are 3 different colors on the doors, so the base white is being applied on the right door presently. There are still a few imperfections..... but perfect is the enemy of complete, so we are letting them go for now. Also, I got the fuel pumps mounted on a mounting tray, and the wires run from the plug to the pumps. This whole assembly now drops into the tunnel and attached.

Next I received my panels from Send Cut Send and have been test fitting everything. I do have some minor fixes and will need to re order 2 panels. The lower center panel (where you see the audio panel) and the switch pod. Just minor fixes on both...but necessary fixes. Now, to get the panels mounted into the frames on the main panel. All of these panels will have an acrylic overlay panel later. No need to have them collecting dust, and then if I have to make more changes, I am not redoing the more expensive Acrylic panels.

First, Happy New Year.
This is the result of the patch to fix my screw up in cutting the panel. I will be painting the panels later so the difference in blacks will blend out.
