Throughout the program, participants undergo rigorous training sessions, where they demystify the art of securing grants, acquiring loans, alongside mastering effect

At the program's climax, businesses get to pitch their ventures in front of a prestigious panel, vying for a coveted spot among the elite twelve to receive a Business Shower during our annual celebration. Beyond the honor of being a finalist in this highly sought after program, successful candidates win a Business Shower which makes them the spotlight of our annual celebration; while they gain access to additional invaluable connections, resources, funding, and additional training, propelling their business launches towards unparalleled success. • Attend monthly Board meetings virtually
• Work with the Executive Director & Board to prepare agendas
• Record and maintain meeting minutes
• Maintain Board records and official documents
• Track Board decisions, votes, and action items
• Help keep Board documentation organized and current

You always hear from us. You see the small businesses. You hear about the results. But what about the community members who show up and experience the Business Showers for themselves? 💗💚

We had the honor of recognizing Dr. Tawana Ross as our **2026 Humanitarian Trailblazer Award recipient** at the Business Showers, and her excitement says it all!

The Trailblazer Award is about more than recognition. It honors people who are using their influence, leadership, and service to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Because at Business Showers, we believe in celebrating the people who build businesses AND build communities.

And the celebration isn't over! 👟🏃🏾‍♀️🚶🏾‍♂️

On November 7, 2026, we're bringing that same energy back together for our **Run to Empower Entrepreneurs 5K at Frank Liske Park in Concord.
