To whom it may concern:
I do not understand the lack of customer service from Mazda. My new car purchase this year will not be a Mazda due to their treatment of me.
About a week ago, the stickiness of my Mazda6 dashboard became untenable. While the degradation was most likely accelerated because of high temperatures experienced along the East Coast of the US last week, I did some research and discovered that this is a known defect in the Mazda 6. My VIN falls in the range of cars that are affected.
I reached out to my local dealership in Chantilly, VA, and they stated that the issue could no longer be covered since it was outside the warranty period. I asked if there was any “goodwill” assistance that they could provide since I’ve been a long time Mazda owner who is loyal to the brand. This is especially relevant because I’m looking to replace my aging Mazda6 in the next year with a new model. When they said they could not help with the warranty because of the expiration of SSPA0, I asked for a quote to replace the inherently flawed component with a new part. I have not received a response back from the dealer and 5 days have passed.
As mentioned previously, I’m currently in the car market and I’m strongly considering the Mazda 6 or CX5. This lack of customer support over a known defect is very concerning and especially in light of this becoming a safety issue if it is not corrected. Note that the Mazda TSB SSPA0 bulletin shows the part # that needs to be replaced and that it would amount to 0.7 hours of labor. The lack of communication and assistance from the dealership is very concerning. It should be a fairly quick and inexpensive repair, and I'm hoping that Mazda Corporate will provide some support so I can get this resolved quickly.

Worst car experience we have ever had. We took a test drive and showed interest in the car but they refused to negotiate and honestly did not care if we were interested or not. We called at least five times and John Rodriguez refused to negotiate with us even when we told him we really wanted the car. We left voicemails that were never returned. No one ever initiated a call to us to discuss the car. Everyone at this dealership treated us if we did not exist.

Don't ever get your car serviced here! We used this place as a tester site since we moved up to this area to see if they would do something shady and they have. How do you "fix" the car, call me to come pick up the car but don't leave an invoice for the cashier to ring me out. Now I have to return AGAIN to pick up this vehicle because the service manager did not leave an invoice. I am about to miss an important meeting because I have to wait another day for the vehicle that is supposedly fixed. Do you think they will compensate me for my time or gas money? Nope. They are only concerned about making money! This place was a recommendation from my company President. I cannot wait to tell him and my staff about this horrible experience.
