Day 5 we make our way back home, we see a fellow motorcyclist ask him where he is from what is he doing. Go over many of Oklahoma’s finest bridges, stop for lunch and make it home after filling up several times.

Epic Motorcycle Quarantine Trip Day 3 Part 1

During the Great 2020 Quarantine, we decided to take a trip on our Motorcycle. It was all planned out. However, we quickly found out that we would need to change our plans several times.

We have left the Spring Creek Lake Campground in the Black Kettel National Grasslands Riding South to Quartz Mountain Nature Park Just Nort of Altus Oklahoma. We ride into the park up and down the mountain.

Friday Donald and I did some Motocamping this weekend. We went to Bell Cow Lake in Chandler, due to the Stroud lake being full. It was a nice place.
Tried hammock camping vs tent.. wasn't to bad, I slept ok, just had noisy neighbors.

Went to Stroud to operate with our Amateur Radio Club members for the special event, Route 66 On the Air.
On the way home we went down HWY 62, vs Route 66..stopped by a yummy ice cream shop called Ma & Pa's Homemade Ice Cream, LLC ...go by and see them!

We are getting settled in at the campsite, finished dinner, and are getting ready for bed. Simple Right?

Leah wears Contact Lenses and we must plan for that with every trip we going. IN this video we will talk to Leah about how she deals with wearing contacts on the road with me as we get ready for bed.

Yesterday we went on a motorcycle ride on Route 66 (east of OKC) and stopped off at the Butcher Stand in Wellston Oklahoma. It is a yummy BBQ stand.
And then we rode North east of Tulsa to an area outside of Tulala, which is northeast of Oologah.
It's not even a town but there is a want to be space capsule AKA a cement mixer on the side of the road that is considered an oddity in Oklahoma. It has been painted to look like a space capsule. It is to believe it has been there since maybe the late 50s.

Day two We woke up to a low of 42 degrees without windchill. Got some warmer gear to put on under our outerwear and hit the road and head South from Amarillo, TX to see the Palo Duro Canyon. Instead of going into the state park we found a Texas State Highway that when right through the canyon. After that we head back into Oklahoma to Spring Creek Lake Campground.
