Wouldn’t be an Australian if Sam’s mornings didn’t start off in UGGS. Here you can see the process of removing all the unnecessary wires. When doing this be careful not to snip the ignition wires in the main electrical box 😉

It’s so important to have the right tools when doing a build. It’s amazing how fast rivets come off by incorporating an air hammer into this part of the demolition. By punching out the centre, this allows us to hit the head off with a metal chisel in 1-3 hits!! When I took the rivets out in my own bus it took 2 days. We have cut this down to half a day since we have the correct tools and know what we are doing now!

The seats and subfloor are out! It is so important to properly remove, treat and seal the metal floor to the bus to prevent rust from returning. We painted the sub floor with a bright paint making it easy to locate any holes that need to covered up so they can be sealed. Despite the fact that this bus arrived in great condition, when we pulled up the original plywood we found moisture build up and surface rust. Always remove and inspect the floors!

This bus is so easy to work with as it has no wheel wells, if you can find one like it you will save yourself the headache of having to work around the boxes that usually protrude into the cabin!

Our latest project is a 30ft bus. This Bluebird was dropped off in fantastic condition. However, there are many reasons that it is incredibly important to remove the original sub floor in a school bus conversion. Some of these include: 1. Making sure the frame has no rust damage and still has structural integrity. 2. To add insulation for 4 season use. 3. To make sure that the sub flooring is level for a quality finish when laying your final flooring.

Here you see us drilling out the bolts that we can’t get to from underneath due to tanks and beams obstructing our access. The force we apply through leverage to stop them from spinning blows the heads of the bolts onto the drill bits!! The Grinder also makes quick work of whatever we can’t drill out!

Please reach out to us with any build questions! We want this to be a space for you to learn too!

The .roaming bus was created by our founder, Sam. He took this vehicle all over the country! It was designed to be a self contained apartment to turn heads and encourage a conversation surrounding tiny living. Sam used this as a mobile office too for his photography business until he decided to create vehicles for others!

With 600 watts of solar, induction cookstove, fully tiled shower and a ton of storage for equipment was a mobile adventure mobile!

Meet the a 1991 International School Bus that one of our team members David and his family converted into a traveling home. David customized every aspect of his build to his family needs. •
David built the Small and Simple Bus with off-grid capability in mind. It’s equipped with a 100-gallon water tank, solar and 900ah battery bank. This allows his family to spend more time outdoors, roaming. •
Scroll through for some interior shots of this beautiful bus!

Each one of our team members lives out of their vehicles full time. This is Dakota’s ( ) home on wheels. It is a 1984 CUCV m1010 military ambulance that he is still in the process of converting.

As it sits. It has a 200 watt solar with 200ah battery bank, stove, sink, oven, and fridge. The bed and living area is modular and transforms from a table to bed in seconds.

So, this is it, the start of our journey! This is the Barber Bus, it was our first build for a client. Swipe to see the state that it was handed to us in!

It is a mobile barber shop with a hot water hair wash station, 3 cutting stations, custom welded supports, and much more!

Our Story

We are a passionate group of individuals who are dedicated to creating excellence in our custom work. All of us have built and lived out of our own tiny homes. From 40 foot school buses to retired military ambulances we travelled around the country in search of breaking the daily routine. It was through these endeavors of our own, that we realized others wanted the same freedom. That’s how this started! We know what it takes to live on the road, along with necessities that should be included in each vehicle to make that life much easier. We get excited about adapting our skills to ensure that you can dream big. Our 4 season rigs are designed to take you more places, year round. We want to pass this all onto you, not only the knowledge, but a build that both of us are proud to share with the world.

We can either build for you at our facility, in Oregon, or we can come to you, making the process accessible to all.
