Dana began his carving adventure over 25 years ago. Antler Ridge Carvings, is owned and operated by Dana Pace. Dana is a part time carver, and antler enthusiast. He enjoys carvings that depict his general fascination with the outdoors. Dana began carving in the Spring of 2000 after inheriting a Dremel from his grandfather in law. He had traveled to a Morel Mushroom Hunting contest in Illinois that
year and ran across some Morel Walking Sticks. At that time Dana had never picked up a Dremel or carved anything. He was disappointed in the Morels that he saw carved and thought he would like to give it a shot himself. His beginings were on a front porch in Monmouth IL and he's carved something almost every day since. He began with walking sticks and carved the morel right at the top and out of wood. They were never carved separately and reattached. They were always part of the stick itself and took shape from the wood. He later began carvings from whitetail deer antler. As an avid shed hunter Dana had totes and totes full of antlers laying in his garage and decided that this may be the best use for them, and it has been! His need for "crafting antlers" has some years surpassed his shed skills and he has been hard pressed to purchase antlers to meet demand. Dana works full time as a Machinist at John Deere Co, and is also a very involved father of 3. He strives to complete each carving within one week of the order placement and have it shipped to the customer. Custom satisfaction is important and repeat customers are always a bonus.
