We’re back in Palestine for the fourth time, but this job brought a unique challenge!
When we arrived on-site, the client mentioned he hadn’t washed the RV since purchasing it from a close friend. Sitting right next to a private lake on the property, the exterior had accumulated heavy algae, thick mold, deep grime, and years of dirt build-up.
We gave it a complete, intensive wash to strip away all the organic growth, but oxidation had already taken a toll on the gel coat.
Did you know? Heavy oxidation creates a chalky barrier that prevents wax, ceramic sealants, or ceramic coatings from properly bonding to your RV’s surface. Applying a protective layer over severe oxidation simply won’t last!
Because of this, we scheduled a follow-up for next week to perform a full Cut & Buff restoration process to remove the dead gel coat/clear coat layer before applying a high-grade Ceramic Coating for long-lasting shine and protection.
Need your RV restored or protected?
Whether you need a detailed wash, paint correction (cut & buff), or premium ceramic coating protection, Azure’s RV Detailing has you covered.

I used to watch RV owners drive away after a trip thinking their bug problem would just "wash off."

Then I'd see them weeks later with permanent stains that could only be removed with a buffer:

What most RV owners don't realize:

Bugs baked on your RV become permanent stains 😩
Waiting too long means expensive buffer work 💸
Those bug guts are eating into your finish 🚗
The damage happens faster than you think ⏰
Until I started teaching the post-trip method.

Here's exactly what I do (and what you should too):

Rinse Immediately After Your Trip 💧 ↳ Hit the front face while it's still cool ↳ Don't wait until bugs bake in the sun ↳ Fresh bugs come off 10x easier

Check the Temperature First 🌡️ ↳ Never clean in direct sunlight ↳ Wait for the RV surface to cool down ↳ Hot surfaces dry products too fast

Apply Bug Spray Generously 🧴 ↳ Let it sit and break down the enzymes ↳ Give it time to work its magic ↳ Don't rush this step—patience pays off

Scrub Gently But Thoroughly 🧽 ↳ Use a soft brush or microfiber cloth ↳ Work in small sections ↳ Let the spray do the heavy lifting

Rinse and Repeat If Needed 🔄 ↳ Check for remaining bug residue ↳ Repeat the spray-scrub-rinse process ↳ Only use a buffer as a last resort

My clients who follow this method never need buffer work.

And their RV? Looks showroom-ready every time.

The best part? It takes 15 minutes after each trip instead of paying hundreds for professional restoration.

❤️ React if you're ready to protect your RV from permanent bug damage!

What is better: a chalky, oxidized RV or a brilliant, water-beading, hydrophobic finish? 👀✨
The answer is obvious, but keeping your rig protected takes the right care. Oxidation happens when UV rays and the elements break down your RV’s gelcoat or paint, leaving it dull and vulnerable. A proper wash, polish, and layer of protection (wax or ceramic coating) brings back the shine, repels water, and shields your investment for the next adventure down the road. 🚐💨

RV owners, keep your roofs clean and your gutters sealed or else you will have debris, AC water, and leakage causing your RV to get stained :/

Do you need your RV shiny from all that oxidation? We can help you out with a two-step detail:
1. Wash it.
2. Compound, take off that initial oxidation.
3. Polish it.

“Real talk: A year ago I thought I’d be stuck working for someone else forever. Now I wake up, check my phone, and see $500-$600 deposits from jobs I did yesterday.

If you’re in the trades or thinking about starting something on your own, drop a 🚐 below and I’ll share the exact equipment list I started with for $500.

And if you’ve got questions about how this actually works, comment them below. I’ll answer every single one. 💪”

The client was away for the week. He left his RV for me to wash and wax it. He was very content and satisfied with the job. We'll be coming back again to wash and wax his RV later in the future
