Today Austyn turned 16 and also became a licensed driver!
Despite a setback of breaking his arm, Austyn worked hard to complete all of his practice time and driving lessons in time to take his test today. He is a really good driver and I couldn’t be happier for him.
His next goal is to get back to surfing once his arm is fully healed. I have no doubt that he will accomplish that!

Congratulations to Melanie! She just got her license yesterday and she said she’s really happy to now be able to help her family with the driving. She’s only the 2nd to be licensed out of 6 kids. What a blessing she is to her family and it was a joy for me to drive with her.

I Love What I Do!

Hi, my name is Sonja Withey and I'm the owner/operator of Drive2Pass North here in San Luis Obispo. I teach behind-the-wheel driving lessons to students in both the SB and SLO county areas.

As a former educator and mother of three awesome young adults, I experienced how rewarding it is to encourage and teach others. I have always admired my mom and mentor Sandy Rios who has been a driving instructor for nearly 20 years. A few years back it hit me, "Wow, I would really love to do what my mom does!" Sandy helped make this dream come true and I can honestly say I've been trained by the best of the best.

Today, working with my students and their parents gives me great joy and keeping teens safe on the road is a daily motivation for me in my line of work.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to thoroughly teach the skills needed for my students to be safe, responsible, and excellent defensive drivers. I look forward to working with you and I desire to make learning to drive an enjoyable experience.
