Master Tech at Toyota here. Little industry secret for everyone. Anytime we need to hit our 40 hour flag goal, we just spray a little engine oil around the timing cover, take a few pictures, and sell a $4,400 timing cover reseal. Once it’s approved, we spray everything clean with brake cleaner, smear a little gasket maker around the outside so it “looks resealed,” collect the hours, and send it down the road. This is how the real mechanics make money 🙌

This one we installed an exhaust brake on. Repaired 4wd shift solenoid.

Just for diversity this unit fell out of a pickup and then would not start. Wound up being a broken spark plug.
