This group is to chronicle the restoration of a former Navy Dragoon 300 that was used by the Navy Nuclear Weapons Security team at the Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic located at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in GA.

I am looking for any and all pictures of Dragoon 300s as used on Navel bases in the 1980s-2010s and if there are any pictures of these vehicles used at the Sub-Base Kings Bay in GA, I would like to see those as I'm trying to find more history about this vehicle. from what I read, the Navy purchased 4-6 Dragoon 300s in this configuration for protection of the nuclear weapon assets on the east coast. Please post or send any pictures of these vehicles in action.

Welcome to the restoration of a 1988 AV Technologies Dragoon 300 APC. This unit was formerly used by the Navy at their Strategic Weapons Facility at Sub-Base Kings Bay GA. The unit was donated to the St. Mary's Sheriff's Department sometime around 2015 and was recently sold at auction by the city in July 2024.

This vehicle was purchased from the buyer 1st part of August 2024 and brought back to the Atlanta area to restore.

Most likely the restoration of the vehicle will note start fully for a few months as I have another vehicle that needs to be finished up prior to really being fully committed to getting this vehicle back on the road.
