Part 1 The Foundation
There’s a much longer story behind all of this.
If we could do an ESPN 30 for 30 on the road that led here, I’d tell you about the wins; but I’d also tell you about the losses, the fear, the uncertainty, the closed doors, and the moments that forced me to decide what I was really made of.
At some point, a question had to be answered:
Do I stay complacent in circumstances that were pulling me toward depression and more loss; or do I stand up, trust God, believe in the dream He placed on my heart, and start building?
I chose to build.
Not because I had all the answers. I didn’t.
I chose to build because I wanted my children to see firsthand that circumstances do not have to dictate your future. That faith requires action. That growth requires discomfort, and that when you steadfastly put in the work, keep learning, keep growing, and refuse to quit, you can change the trajectory of your life; and hopefully the lives of others along the way.
That’s why success, to me, has never simply been about money.
Success is measured by what we build, who we bring with us, who we serve along the way, and what we leave behind.
The goal is to build something that creates opportunity for our family, our employees and their families, our customers, and the communities we serve; something capable of impacting generations beyond our own.
With grit, determination, and faith, the plan was set in motion.
Turner started from humble beginnings—literally operating out of my basement. There were plenty of days filled with a sometimes-crippling fear and one recurring question:
“What am I even doing?”
But we kept moving.
We kept answering the phone.
We kept showing up.
We kept listening to our customers.
We kept finding ways to solve problems.
And we kept earning the next opportunity.
From a basement, to having a building built, to already outgrowing that building; the growth has been incredible. But the buildings, trucks, products, and numbers aren’t the part of this story that matters most.
The people are.
Every bit of growth Turner has experienced started with a customer willing to take a chance on us. Someone gave us an opportunity to prove ourselves. Then another did. And another.
We will never forget that.
That creates a responsibility far greater than simply making a sale.
It means being a steward of the trust our customers place in us. It means showing up when we say we will. It means standing behind what we provide. It means finding solutions instead of excuses. And it means understanding that when our customers succeed, their employees, families, and communities benefit too.
We won’t always get everything perfect.
But our commitment will remain the same:
Your success matters to us.
That isn’t just something we put on marketing material. It is the standard we are working to build this company around.
Our Drive is Your Success.
We are incredibly blessed. We are humbled. We are grateful.
And we are nowhere close to finished.
