One of our team members has an aunt who has worked for TSA at Nashville International Airport for 30 years. We learned that by calling ahead (72 hours ahead) to the number below, you can request a TSA staff member meet you curbside and escort you and your family member with Autism all the way through security—no stressful lines, no meltdown-provoking wait!

While you’re there, keep an eye out for TSA staff member, Ms. Sandra King and give her a high-five from all of us for this helpful tip!

Lotsa learning happening at today’s Nashville Sertoma Club! Thanks to End Slavery Tennessee volunteer, Andrew Christenberry. We learned that approximately 83% of victims of human trafficking occurring in TN are our very own girls, boys, & women Tennesseans. We also learned that trafficking occurs in so many different ways—not only in the ways portrayed on TV crime shows and in the movies. One of the most common ways traffickers access would-be victims is online. We learned that a very common form of trafficking of individuals with disabilities is “Familial”—meaning a victims very own family sells them in exchange for drugs or other gain. We learned SO much more too, and if you’d like to learn more, or learn how you can help, visit: https://www.endslaverytn.org/. #nashvillesertoma #sertoma #nashville #endslavery #humantrafficking #loveoneanother

Oldie but goodie!

While we as a society may understand and apply this concept when it comes to child rearing, we often forget this same rule applies to our workplace as well.

We teach our clients, customers, patients, employees, and even employers how to treat us by how we choose to respond each and every day.
