I saw someone say they wanted Black Friday deals on mechanic labor. Not a bad idea. 30% off all repairs except for those done on a Dodge or a BMW. GMC Acadia repairs are double price instead of triple!

“I was stuck at work with the hood up and a young lady came by and said hey, my husband’s a mobile mechanic if you need one. Yes! Yes ma’am I do! He came , did some diagnostics and determined very quickly what my issue was. I had been told it was my alternator by some speculators. He was more than sure it wasn’t and that it was my starter. While he was under the car another mechanic came by and questioned his ability to get the job done. He read off all the things he had done to diagnose the car and the guy said “ well I can’t argue with any of that” eventually he left lol. Austin stayed the course. His wife took me to buy a starter and some tools since he was merely coming to get food and didn’t bring working materials. The starter was changed in less than 30 minutes. The truck crank up immediately. I had been going through this for about a month. I was in disbelief. The whole time his wife was 150% sure he was going to fix the truck. I decided then that I would support my man the way she did cause she never doubted him for a second 😂. After it was all said n done he tried to only charge me the tools. There’s no way I was just giving him the tools for his hard work. I paid the man. He had spent his time and energy on my impromptu issue and saved me the cost of towing the truck 30 miles and taking it to a shop that would have charged me god know how much. I appreciate his time and effort and his expertise. He knew what he was doing. I’ll definitely be using him again. I saved him in my phone and plan on giving his info to everyone! Dirty throttle body? Exercise caution when attempting to clean on many vehicles! All the way from 2000 and up across various makes and models, some throttle bodies are electronic, and get very picky about the sensing. The throttle position sensor is usually built into the throttle body and is non-serviceable, which of course jacks up the price on the part. Some throttle bodies cost in the range of $200+ and then even more labor to install and program or relearn the idle in some cases.

Our recommendation: leave it alone, call us instead

We love 6 cylinder engines. It’s absolutely a fun time to take off the intake plenum to change the rear spark plugs and valve cover gasket. 10/10 never change
