Race report: Round 4 Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta

This race was an interesting one. Only one of us had been to this track plus race day started with complicated weather conditions. Will it rain? Will it stay dry? A mix? The morning started off wet so we decided to throw on the rains but the weather cleared up so we switched to slicks for the race. The race did start off dry and was going off without a hitch til the red flag a little more than hour in. During the red flag it started raining. There’s a lot to it but long story short, the officials held us in that red flag for more than an hour because of that rain. After a riders meeting and very notable racer literally yelling “Let us race” they decided to send us back out after a couple of sighting laps. We were back at it even after a little hiccup during a pit stop where one of our captive spacers decided it wanted to stay in the pits instead of circulating around the track. We got that sorted but not long after that was the final red flag which fell 30 minutes before the 4 hr mark. The officials controversially ended the race on this red flag. So essentially about a 2 hr race.

In the end it’s another finish and though everything wasn’t ideal it’s done. On to the next.

Race report: Round 3 Pitt Race

The team was excited for this round because it was a track that we’ve all done a lot of laps at. We love Pitt Race. This race also happened to be the weekend before the Moto America race so most of the Moto A field was there to show us what fast really is. We were off pace by a lot this weekend but we did are usual thing of just staying safe and finishing with as few stops as we could. After 4 hours we ended up 9th in class and we moved up to 6th overall in Middleweight. Not too Shabby!

Team Lojax would like to thank Bobby Von Nessen and David and Erika Wolfe for helping us out as much as they have. They are amazing human beings. We’d also like to thank Ryan Wolfe for filling in for the first 3 rounds. The kid is fast and gets faster every day.
