On June 26, 2024 a Dept of Transportation driver was driving down Route 1 (Main Street) in Branford, CT when he saw something laying on the side of the road, in front of Premier Subaru, he thought he saw movement so he turned around to check it out. Imagine his surprise when he saw that it was a little black and white kitten, estimated to be about 7-8 weeks old. He very carefully picked the kitten up and brought him straight to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter, where they immediately went into action and took him to the local emergency vet, where he underwent surgery to fix a broken leg. Unfortunately, they were unable to save his leg but he is not letting that stop him. The staff at the shelter chose his name because he seemed blue with a sad little face from being in pain when he was found and Subaru because he was found in front of Premier Subaru.
When Robert J Alvine, the owner of Premier Subaru, heard about Blue Subaruβs story and needed surgery, he immediately donated the $2000 needed to cover the cost. We cannot wait for Blue Subaru to find his loving furever home when he becomes available for adoption in about 2 weeks.
