# # 🏁 130 DAYS UNTIL DAYTONA KARTWEEK 2027 🏁

**Stop saying, β€œMaybe next year.”**

If racing the big track at **Daytona International Speedway** has been sitting on your bucket list, **2027 is the year to saddle up and DRIVE YOUR LINE.**

The **Drive Your Line KartSport garage is already FULL with 10 karts**, and we will have only **LIMITED tent space available**.

And let's make one thing clear:

**You DO NOT have to be a Compkart chassis driver to join us.**

If you've got a kart that can be properly prepared for road racing, we want to help you experience one of the most iconic racetracks in the world.

# # # 🏎️ WHY DAYTONA?

Because this isn't just another kart race.

It's **DAYTONA.**

For those of us committed to road racing, Daytona KartWeek is something we look forward to every year. There's nothing quite like rolling onto that massive speedway, climbing onto the banking, getting into the draft, and realizing:

**You're racing at Daytona International Speedway.**

The standard Daytona road course is approximately **3.56 miles** long, combining the technical infield with the legendary high-banked NASCAR superspeedway.

You're dealing with hard braking zones, tight horseshoes, acceleration onto the oval, drafting, sustained speed, and the banking that you've watched some of the greatest drivers in motorsports race for decades.

Daytona deserves respect.

**But it doesn't need to be feared.**

This is the place that helped build drivers into legends.

And if you've always wanted to experience it from behind the wheel instead of from the grandstands or your television...

**What are you waiting for?**

# # # πŸ”§ CIK KART OWNERS β€” YOU MAY BE CLOSER THAN YOU THINK

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is that converting a sprint kart for road racing requires some massive investment.

**It doesn't.**

There are several important safety and preparation items that have to be addressed, but your current package may be much closer to road-race ready than you realize.

One of the biggest priorities is the **braking system and proper safety wiring.**

Bolts must be drilled where required and safety wired correctly. At the speeds we're running on a road course, preparation isn't something we compromise on.

That's why **Drive Your Line KartSport offers a Road Race Prep Package.**

Bring your kart to our shop in **Brandon, Mississippi**, and we'll help you identify what needs to be done and get your kart properly prepared for the demands of road racing.

You don't have to figure it all out by yourself.

# # # 🏁 THE PART YOU'LL REMEMBER

Ask somebody who has raced Daytona what it's like afterward.

One of the coolest moments doesn't even happen during KartWeek.

It happens months or years later.

You're sitting with friends watching the **Rolex 24 at Daytona** or the **DAYTONA 500**.

The cameras sweep across the banking.

Everybody is watching.

And you get to smile and say:

**β€œI've raced that track.”**

There's something different about being able to say that.

Not *β€œI almost did.”*

Not *β€œI thought about doing it.”*

Not *β€œMaybe next year.”*

**I RACED DAYTONA.**

If you've been talking about doing it for years, quit making excuses.

**Saddle up.**

We've got **130 days.**

The Drive Your Line garage spots are already spoken for, and **tent space will be LIMITED.**

If you're serious about joining us at **Daytona KartWeek 2027**, or you want information about getting your CIK kart prepared for road racing, **get in touch with Drive Your Line KartSport.**

We have returned from an exciting weekend! I know I'm a little late on the report but it's been a bit touchy-stressful.

1) The DYL team was on point, with one 100cc Sr CIK driver and four 206 drivers, two in Sr Hvy and two in Novice. All on Compkart 4R chassis.

2) Ryan Schega Motorsports won F1 on Saturday with a last-lap, last-turn slingshot draft move and drag race to the line. F2 on Sunday, Ryan would finish second due to a questionable move from the winner. We're very proud of Ryan's results. This places him still leading the Championship points race but not a clear-cut winner at this point.

3)206 Heavy, Sam Odom, currently 2nd in AKRA 206 Heavy points behind Jeff Chalmers. While having a solid run, got knocked off the track and dropped back to 12th. Odom would find himself with old friend Chalmers as the two battled for 6th and 7th with a smile on their faces. Sometimes it's not the finish you wanted but the time you had while achieving it.

4) It would be fellow Turtle Team racer Joe Lyons who snuck off with the win in Saturday's 206 Novice class. This would be his first time on his new-to-him Compkart 4R chassis and 206 power plant. Joe has raced in the past and is pretty pleased with his return to the sport this season... and so are we Joe!

5)Turtle Racing team owner Roy Hall joined Odom in 206 heavy on Saturday while doing a little R&D, until he experienced a mechanical failure. Hall chose not to return on Sunday due to rain conditions.

6) 206 Turtle Racing team pushed to the grid with three karts for Sunday's 206 Novice class, with Brad Hadnott, and Gene Martin. Martin secured the win, while Hadnott, who suffered "driver failure " on Saturday, shook off that bad luck and finished second behind fellow team driver Gene Martin.
Photos are coming as soon as I can unpack my camera bag!
