Today is the day! We will be out at Bandit Speedway in Box Elder for a day of Vintage Dirt Drag Racing. Races are open to all pre 1965 traditionally styled vehicles that have seat belts, a battery hold down and a helmet for all passengers. Pit gates will open at 8am. The driver's pit meeting will begin at 11:00 with photo opportunity lineup on the track directly after. At the conclusion of the National Anthem, we will take a cruise around the track to give the spectators a closer look at all of the rides. Racing will kick off at 12:00 and conclude at 4pm. The Vintage Dirt Drags Team is excited to see everyone and their rides!

Today is THE DAY!! Get all of your 1970 and older vehicles out and join us for a cruise through the Black Hills! We will be meeting at Founders Park at 11:00 giving everyone a chance to eat before our departure at 12:00. The cruise will be 102 miles and end up in Sturgis for dinner. See you all soon!

Tomorrow (July 31st) is the day that the Vintage Dirt Drags weekend events kick off! The weekend festivities will start with a cruise through the Black Hills. The cruise is open to all 1970 and older vehicles. We will be meeting at Founders Park at 11am Friday and heading out on the cruise at 12:00. The cruise will be 102 miles with 2 pitstops along the way. The route will conclude at Sturgis Brewing Company for dinner. Saturday, August 1st we will be out at Bandit Speedway in Box Elder for a day of racing. Races are open to all pre 1965 traditionally styled vehicles that have seat belts, a battery hold down and a helmet for all passengers. Pit gates will open at 8am. The driver's pit meeting will begin at 11:00 with photo opportunity lineup on the track directly after. The Vintage Dirt Drags in Dakota Cruise will be taking place in 2 days! We will be congregating at Founders Park at 11am and heading out on the 102 mile cruise at 12:00. The cruise is open to all automobiles 1970 or older. Saturday the drags will be taking place at Bandit Speedway for all traditional vehicles manufactured before 1965. Pit gates will open at 8am. Pit meeting will be held at 11am with the parade starting right after. Races will begin at 12:00 and wind down around 4pm. As always you must have a battery hold down, seat belts and a helmet to participate. See you all Tomorrow!

We are less than a week away from the 2026 Vintage Dirt Drags in Dakota event! This Friday, July 31st we will be having a cruise through the Black Hills. The cruise is open to all 1970 and older vehicles. It will be leaving Founders Park at 12:00 and tallying around 100 miles. Saturday, August 1st will be the Dirt Drags event at Bandit Speedway. Open to all pre 1965 traditionally styled vehicles. Pit gates open at 8:00am, driver's meeting at 11:00, parade for spectators directly after and racing starting at 12:00. All racers and passengers in the car must have helmets and seat belts. Battery hold downs are also a requirement. The Dirt Drags team can't wait to see everyone this Friday and Saturday!

We are officially 1 week away from the 2026 Vintage Dirt Drags In Dakota! Next Saturday, August 1st will be the day to get your Pre 1965 traditionally styled vehicle out for a great day of racing. We are only 1 week away from the first Vintage Dirt Drags Cruise! Next Friday, July 31st we will be having a cruise through the Black Hills as part of the opener to the Dirt Drags the following day. We will be meeting at Founders Park in Rapid City at 11:00 am. There will be food trucks there so you can grab something to eat before the cruise. The cruise will be leaving Founders Park at 12:00 and will be approximately 100 miles long. The cruise is open to all 1970 and older vehicles. The Dirt Drags Team hopes to see you all there!

2026 Vintage Dirt Drags In Dakota countdown is down to 9 days! We sure hope everyone is ready to bring out their pre 1965 traditionally inspired cars and pickups to race! If you are wanting to race the rules are simple. You must have a helmet, seat belt, and battery hold down. We hope to see you all out at Bandit Speedway August 1st!

Here are our newly updated posters with some information on the cruise that will be taking place Friday, July 31st. The cruise will be open to all cars that are 1970 or older. We will be meeting at Founders Park at 11:00am. There will be food trucks so that everyone can grab a bite to eat. We will be leaving for the cruise at 12:00 sharp. Maps for the approximately 100 mile cruise will be handed out at the drivers meeting. Cruise will be ending at Sturgis Brewing Company for dinner and bench racing around 5:00pm. The year cutoff for the races on August 1st will remain pre 1965. Please repost and share to get the info spread.
