Romin' Chariots Car Club

09/30/2026

We lost another original member this week. Bill joined the Romin' Chariots in the 60's. In 1968 he was voted as the President. He was a very active car guy throughout his entire life. Bill was a friend to everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.

View Willys J McArthur Jr. "Bill"'s obituary, send flowers, find service dates, and sign the guestbook.

THANK YOU to everyone that braved the weather and came out to the car show yesterday. The car turnout was small, but the support was overwhelming. Over $7,000 was raised for Blue Cap! That's the second highest amount raised and the car count was about 1/3 of the usual amount. In the 15 years we have been putting on the show, over $65,000 has been raised, and it is all because of your support. We can't thank you enough!

The Romin' the Island 2026 is TODAY! Rain or Shine, we are going to be at Blue Cap raising money for their Special Olympics Group. Please be patient with our volunteers as we may have to park a bit tighter than usual to avoid soft and deep water spots in the grass. We hope to see you this afternoon!

Tomorrow!! Rain or Shine. Come help us raise some 💲 for Blue Cap Special Olympics

Romin' the Island at Blue Cap is RAIN or SHINE, so be sure to bring your umbrella! We have more than enough room inside Blue Cap to hang out and swap stories. If you don't want to bring that classic out, that's cool, but please still come as a spectator. We will still have our Tool Raffle, silent auctions, and 50/50 raffle. As always, 100% of all money raised goes directly to the Blue Cap Bombers Special Olympics Group.

THIS is where your donation to our car show goes. 100% of all money raised, your car show entry, the 50/50, silent auction, and any donations go directly to the Blue Cap Special Olympics group.

The Romin' Chariots Car Club has been helping Blue Cap since 1964. In the early days, the club did car washes and paper drives to raise funds. 2012 was the first year the club hosted a car show at Blue Cap. The first year was a handful of cars, and a couple hundred dollars was raised. Since then the show has grown to over 120 cars, and in total over $57,000 has been raised for the Blue Cap Special Olympics Team! And it would have never happened without your support. 100% of all money brought in goes directly to the organization. The $20 entry fee, the 50/50, the silent auctions and the Mac Tools tool raffle. If you or your business would like to help by donating to the silent auction, the goodie bags for the participants, or just to make a donation, you can message us or email [email protected].
