Typically Shadd and his family take their van for weeks off-grid so having an electric bike is perfect for exploring beyond camp. Some boats have dinghy’s and some vans have their electric bikes. Toys on toys on toys.

Shadd and is currently building a NEW 2020 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 4x4 camper van. It is equipped with the RIP kit complete suspension from with 1 ton leaf springs 275 R17 BFGs rima, rear bumper, ladder, and roof rack with custom mahogany decking. A front bumper with Smitty built w***h. Interior has eberspacher diesel hot water forced air and radiant heat. Webasto diesel stove. Cruise n comfort 12 volt hidden AC. Custom tile shower and a nature's head composting toilet 500 amp hour lithium battery bank, Inverter 390 watt solar panels and tons of cabinets for all the stuff. With the raised platform bed, Shadd has tons of space in his garage which holds most everything you would see in a typical house garage. He has all the tools, batteries, cords and outdoor gear needed and its all organized with a clean layout.

One thing we thing we picked up from Shadd’s vans was character, they have a lot of thought and intention put into the whole build. He is used to putting that passion into building a house and it definitely has translated to his camper vans. @ Carmel Valley, California

Shadd Madsen was a custom homer builder who converted a camper van for himself and fell in love with the process and now shifted his business from homes to van conversions. He chose to build off the Mercedes Sprinter model and will be finishing a 2020 one for sale this year.

It’s what camper van dreams are made out of. Two beds, overhead cabinets, fridge, plenty of storage and 100% bad ass! This is Shadd’s personal camper van but he is building a second one right now to sell - bigger and better.

When you have a family, you most definitely need two beds at some point but dont want to sacrifice your space. has designed their vans layout to utilize the back bench seats to fold dow and upper space to fold over and make a top bunk. A versatile layout that is comfortable for the entire fam.
