Rainbows for Daphne This is the official page to follow Daphne's Journey as she battles brain cancer. Daphne is a fighter and usually loves having her picture taken.

Daphne was diagnosed with Anaplastic Ependymoma Grade 3 (a type of brain cancer) in May 2014. Since then she has had three brain surgeries, several other procedures, multiple MRI's and CT scans, two rounds of Chemo therapy and Proton (radiation) therapy. Since September 2014, she has spent more time in Philadelphia then in her home in Virginia. This FaceBook page is dedicated to her journey.

Daphne was supposed to be a flower girl today. But God called her home before she could. Ellis and Heather made sure she was still part of their celebration.

Daphne loved Ellis. He was her buddy. She would climb into his lap at the bowling alley and play with his iPad, I don't think he would have had it any other way...in fact I'm sure he had games on there just for her.

It's been a difficult week. I'm pretty sure Daphne's death certificate came, but I can't bring myself to open it. Took the rock to the engraver for her grave marker. Now, driving to Pennsylvania reminds me of the countless time Daphne and I drove to PA in search of a cure.

This week brought a card in the mail with precious memories of Daphne, a story of a little boy who thought the world of Daphne and a special gift of a prism to create rainbows for us. Each of these things are beautiful in their own way, and I love them all. I love hearing stories about how Daphne had an impact on so many in so many different ways.

Merry Christmas Daphne! Love you to pieces!
