🚨 **DYED DIESEL UPDATE — TEXAS & LOUISIANA DIESEL OWNERS** 🚨

With the recent temporary changes allowing expanded use of red dyed/off-road diesel in certain highway vehicles in Texas and Louisiana, we want to remind diesel owners of something just as important:

**Know where your fuel is coming from.**

Red dye itself does not automatically mean “bad fuel.” But that doesn’t mean every tank of off-road diesel is something we would recommend putting into a modern common-rail diesel truck.

If you’re going to take advantage of these temporary allowances, we strongly recommend buying from a **reputable commercial fuel supplier or high-volume fueling location** where the fuel is properly stored, filtered and regularly turned over.

Be cautious about filling your truck from an old farm tank, equipment tank or unknown bulk storage tank.

Older or poorly maintained storage tanks can contain: Water and condensation, Rust and sediment, Dirt and debris, Microbial contamination, Fuel that has been sitting for an extended period.

Modern diesel fuel systems operate at extremely high pressures, and contaminated fuel can quickly turn a few dollars saved at the pump into a **very expensive fuel-system repair.**

Also remember: these are **temporary and state-specific allowances**. Texas and Louisiana currently have different rules regarding who qualifies, and federal fuel-tax/penalty requirements may still apply.

**Save money where you can — just make sure you know what you’re putting in your truck.**

Finished up the 6.0 rebuild with lots of extras. Still a great truck for 21 years old.

Block and pistons .030" over, ARP studs, PPE water pump, stand pipes, oil cooler. Spoologic billet turbo wheel and EGR and exhaust upgrades.
