Today was get the truck ready for the Trinity show next weekend. Also get the garage cleaned. Got the brakes bleed today but the back brakes feel like they are not fully working. Will need to find a local shop that can help with adjusting them and also need to get the valves adjusted. Onto the next project.

Picked up a canopy for our parts trailer to keep our spare stuff out of the weather. But now need new tires for it. When we got it they were bad but now they are just done. Now to decide to get one that has a real axel or just use this one.

Getting a few small things finished this past few weeks but also Got 3 of the 4 rims polished today.

It was a great weekend to start the daunting task of moving my auxiliary fuse / relay box in the 620. When I first installed I didn’t want to change the transmission to a 5 speed. But I think I will need to sometime soon. When I installed it originally I put it where the clutch reservoir goes when we do the swap it will have to be moved anyways. Well it is started and should finish tomorrow.
Also started making a wire harness to adapt to my stock ignition switch plug. Don’t really want to cut up the stock harness up to install the pushbutton start system. Now to get the rest of this wired up and finally might be able to use the power door locks soon that we installed when we started building the truck a few years back lol.

Time to start watching marketplace for parts for the conversion.

The last .bend Cars & Coffee we went to before winter I heard a scraping sound coming from the rear of the truck. Well found with the problem was. Darn broken spring now to get that fixed and other stuff buttoned up for this car show season. Have only a month or so.

1978 Datsun 620 Holly Sniper 2300 Series Install

Here is how we did our conversion from a weber to the Holley Sniper 2300 Series.

Intake Setup

We ordered the CANNON MANIFOLD FOR WEBER DGV,DGAV,DGEV FOR DATSUN L SERIES from Pierce Manifolds. Also ordered Holley 350 / 500 to Weber Manifold Adapter Kit from LC Engineering.

We had to match the ports on the adapter to the intake. Glitter Making time….

After all the finish work was done, I test fitted everything with the custom throttle cable bracket I ordered from Australia. Lol

IT was time to start removing the old carb and intake from the truck. Had to clean the old gasket off and get ready to install the new intake.
