The faces behind your future campsite. 🏕️

This is the team building campers for people who’d rather spend quality time outside.

There are faster ways to build campers. We just don’t think they’re better.

Every Hiatus is built by hand in our Washington shop, from raw materials to install day, because we believe the camper you’ll own for the next 10-20 years deserves more than assembly line shortcuts.

Quality comes from people who take pride in what they build.

Thanks for trusting us to be part of your adventures. 🙌

🛠️ Gas struts do more than just lift the roof.

Every Hiatus camper is tuned around the way you plan to use it. Roof weight, climate, permanent accessories, and even who will be opening and closing the camper all play a role in selecting the right gas struts.

👀 During this install, we noticed the camper felt stiffer than expected for someone my size. The owner planned to use the camper in a colder climate, which can make the struts feel even stronger than they do here in the Pacific Northwest. Since his wife is a similar size to me, we made an adjustment before they took off after install to make everyday use easier.

That's one advantage of a custom build.

⚖️ Planning to permanently add solar panels or a rooftop box? We'll account for that when selecting your struts. If your setup changes later, we can help you choose a different set.

❄️☀️ Camping through both blazing summers and the deep winter?

We also offer a secondary set of gas struts for customers who switch between seasonal setups or experience extreme temperatures. Whether you're adding ski racks and a rooftop box for winter or stripping the roof down for summer, the struts are easy to swap at home using our instructions.

✅ The goal isn't simply making the roof go up and down.

It's making sure your camper is easy to use every time you head out.

💬 What would your roof setup look like? Solar panels, a rooftop box, ski racks, or something else?

Turns out, a few inches can make a pretty big difference.

Now that we have your attention… 👀

This F-350 owner chose two options that completely changed the stance of the truck: an optional 4” taller camper frame and a hydraulic suspension system. Park it next to a standard Tacoma build and… okay, maybe 4 inches is noticeable. 😏

One thing people are often surprised to learn is that Hiatus campers aren’t built on an assembly line with one fixed configuration. Every camper is built to order around the owner’s truck, travel style, and priorities.

Want to maximize standing room? We can do that.

Prefer the lowest profile possible? We can do that too.

Need a layout that works with your gear, your hobbies, or your truck? That’s exactly why we build each camper one at a time.

No two adventures look the same. We don’t think every camper should either.

Which setup would you choose: low profile or extra height? ⬇️
