To most people, this makes absolutely no sense, but I'm going to say it anyways:
DON'TπWAITπUNTILπYOURπPLANEπISπDIRTYπTOπCLEAN πITπ
A visibly dirty plane means that the dirt, grease, turbine soot, dust, pollen, bugs, and any other surface contaminants have made their way into the aircraft exterior. Aircraft paint is not like car paint. Most aircraft do not have layers upon layers of clear coat to correct issues for years. The longer your plane is dirty, the quicker your aircraft's exterior components and coatings deteriorate. The operators with the best pedigree in this industry know this, and they clean their planes frequently, stay ahead of maintenance milestones, and do everything they can to keep the aircraft in pristine condition. A great example of this is this PC-12; this is the original paint from when it rolled out of the factory 26 years ago. It's not perfect, but it's still doing its job of protecting the airframe and she looks good doing it after all these years β¨π©οΈ
