Just a little update on what's been going on behind the scenes.
Rider Check In
Riders can now check in at any track on the Moto Maps platform and give a thumbs up or thumbs down across a variety of categories, like current conditions and how many people are at the track. You can also leave a general rating on whether it's good, not bad, or something you wouldn't recommend anyone loading up for.
Badges
You can now earn badges just for being active on the platform. There are over 40 different badges to collect and they're multi-tiered. You earn them by leaving reviews, suggesting edits on tracks, checking in at different tracks, and helping verify tracks, which brings us to the next feature.
Community Verified
Riders can now community verify a track by checking the current information and marking it as correct or incorrect with a suggestion. Once 5 or more riders have done this on a non-verified track, it becomes community verified and gets a green seal. It'll also show the name of the person who last verified the info.
AI Powered Updates
All tracks will now have AI powered updates pulled from Facebook, Instagram, and other social media posts. It'll tell you the next scheduled practice or race, the time, and the pricing. Keep in mind this is AI powered like it says, so it won't always be accurate, and it only works if a facility has social channels and actually posts on them.
Paywalls
Everything that used to sit behind a paywall is now free for registered users, other than the full page map and the nearby locations on a track tab. Guest users can see a lot more now too, without having to sign up. Guests can view all shop, creator, and rider profiles and their info, and they can see 5 rows of tracks instead of two, with most of that information included as well.
Redesign
The entire platform got a redesign. The landing page looks incredible now and is a lot more detailed. The FAQ, contact page, terms, and privacy pages have all been redone too. As of writing this, we're also redesigning the onboarding flow. Instead of joining as a rider and being required to fill out all your profile information, it's now optional.
These are just a few of the many things coming in V3. Once it launches, we hope you'll come back and give us another chance.
